"Our experience with the cargo that was handed over to Brisbane Transco Team (Mohan and Hadil) was very appalling and experienced an inordinate delay in receiving the goods to SL. In fact, we started handing over our cargo in the third week of Nov 22, as we told they are planned to leave Australia by end of Nov, expecting the cargo to be in SL by mid Jan 23. However, we were told the ship is not going to leave Australia by end of Nov and instead it has been postponed to Mid Dec. So we took the opportunity of adding some more cargo bur we never got exact details of shipment date, name of the vessel carrying the goods, port of loading and etc.The only reference we had was the BL number and it was only good enough to track the estimated shipment date only after the consignment is on waters. It is very disappointing that the Australian cargo agents never provided the correct details of the voyage but were misleading us giving incorrect names of the vessels, probably for the sake of providing a name as I was insisting the same. I am not sure as the cargo agents as to why they cannot provide details of the voyage and actually how they are being transported from Brisbane to Colombo. I can very well understand as cargo agents they try to maximise the cargo load, but the customers should not be kept in darkness not knowing what is happening with their cargo. Also, the cargo agents in Brisbane were very responsive until they collected the cargo and the fee but responses were very poor when we were trying to contact them through e-mails from SL Eventually, I could see that the Transco web tracking system was providing me with an ETA date against our BL but it kept postponing the ETA date three times (10th Feb, 20th Feb and 1st Mar) citing that there had been some delays in Singapore with the trans-shipment. However, I was initially told by Mohan he usually loads cargo in vessels that goes direct to SL but we are sure it was not the case always. With all these disappointing outcomes, I kept calling Transco Wattala to get some credible feedback with the vessel name and finally we got the actual vessel name from Transco Wattala warehouse team. Therefore, we have strongly decided not to handover any cargo to Transco led by Hadil and Mohan in future. Also we strongly suggest all other Sri Lankans to think carefully before you handover your cargo to Transco team because it took nearly 4 months to get our cargo from Brisbane to reach Colombo…in essence, this is the worst experience we have ever faced since we started sending cargo from overseas and it is a good lesson to learn."
"Very prompt, efficient and reasonable costs for overseas deliveries. Door to door delivery to Sri-Lanka was handled very professionally with goods arriving without any tampering or damage. A small delay occurred with one of the boxes (due to the COVID situation) however; the team in Australia kept me informed right throughout the process until it was delivered safely. It was a very assuring experience during an uncertain situation. Thank you Apsara and the team!"
