"I generally like the sausage rolls but when the older lady sees me she finds a burnt one for me nearly every time. I can't work out how she manages this because all the sausage rolls look good from where I stand. Recently after I was served a sausage roll which was black on the bottom I asked for an unburnt one. She couldn't find any as they were all black on the bottom so I was given a bacon and cheese one (yuk) instead. I only realized once back in my car. Despite this strange situation, my friends enjoy the chunky pepper steak pies. However, I'll give this bakery a miss for a while until they get their standards and consistency higher"

"Average food, average service. They used to sell pie with peas but they no longer sell them (so we have been told). Sometimes when we ask for a plain pie with mince we get steak or steak with mushrooms. Today we asked for a curry pie and received a tomato pie. We also ordered a plain pie and asked them to mark which was which on the paper packaging. They refused and said we'd know which one it was by the pie. The "T" was quite confusing (since we had not asked for a mince pie with a slice of tomato inside it). We have had mixups like this before and with the change we receive. All that aside the food is okay."

"I only ever buy a beef mince pie from a bakery everywhere I go. It’s like a tester. Today/tonight I got a chicken and mince pie from Forest Lake bakery. Took them home . Both of us have worked in kitchens making pies/sausage rolls but these were really good. Definitely going back."
