"Really want to call out and sincerely thank Ali and especially Tiana for their help earlier this year. The first time I had ever been involved in any kind of legal dispute, while I thought I was pretty bloody strong - on the day I was nothing but shakes and she was nothing but bulletproof, had a great outcome and was able to resolve an issue that without her approach I definitely would have screwed up. Can't speak highly enough of her and this firm. Really truly grateful."
"Do NOT use this company !!!! I used GTC for a family matter and they stressed me to the max. My first Lawyer was lovely, she responded to my emails and phone calls, then much to my horror she left. Was I notified that she had left - no. Was I notified who my new Lawyer was going to be - no. After a month or so I called to see what was taking so long and was told only then that I had a new Lawyer, so I asked for her to please return my call. I called several more times & emailed over the next 6-8 weeks and never ever managed to speak to this lawyer. Feeling ignored and frustrated I escalated the problem, got put through to a manager who said he had read my case and admitted the second Lawyer was no longer with the company due to her lack of communication with her clients and he promised me he’d look after me. Weeks go by and the matter is still not resolved and now the managers not returning my calls. It turns out he too is leaving the company and again I’d fallen through the cracks. All in all it took me 12 months of my life on hold to get a relatively easy matter resolved."
"Melissa Jarvin was my lawyer and she was excellent. She was informative, helpful and empathetic to my case. She done all of the hard work and notified me promotly. I would definitely recommended Melissa and I would use her again if need be."
"I went to see the Lawyer, Melissa Jarvin, 03 June 2016 for the initial meeting that cost me $295.00 up front. The Lawyer then told me that I have a good case and asked me if I would like to go to court directly or do I rather want to write the builder a letter. Because the Lawyer told me that I have a good case I asked to write him a letter first and then take it further only if he was not responding, she then told me it will cost $700.00 for her to send the builder this letter and I will have to pay before I left the office. So I did pay her the $700. The Lawyer then send me the draft of this letter and asked me for another $300 before she will send the letter. I've told her that the extra $300 was never discussed and that she only quoted me $700 initially to send this letter out. She then told me that I do not have to pay the extra $300...and send the letter. After the builder's lawyers send a letter back defending the builder with all kinds of lies. The lawyer, Melissa Jarvin, then told me over the phone that is was not worth taking this matter further as I do not have enough evidence. She also then send me a letter regarding the above and I quote: "given the total amount of damages you would be entitled to receive would likely not exceed your legal costs, we recommend commencing a QCAT application on your own volition." My question is just this....is that not why we have the initial 1 Hour meeting that we pay $295.00 so that this lawyer can tell us if we have a good case or that we do not have enough evidence or that our case is financially to small to go to court. I then replied back with even more evidence and personally dropped all the documents off at there Strathpine office. Two weeks later when I phone one of the Senior lawyers to discuss my matter with the new evidence... he was not even aware of the documents that I dropped off for him...The cover letter was personally address to him. In short - I feel that $995.00 and 3 months later I am exactly where I was before I went to see Go To Court....If they was honest with me the fist meeting it would only have cost me $295 and 1 Hour of my time and there time and I could have gone to QCAT and maybe this matter could have been resolved already."
