"Like others, I'd also give a minus score if I could. This is not the first time I have experienced rude treatment by the manager/owner/franchisee of the post office, but today I feel compelled to share my experience here. This man (whose name I do not know) is NEVER friendly. He barely cracks a smile and always looks irritated to have to serve anyone. If you are in customer service, learn to greet people warmly and make customers feel valued. Today I went in with my application summary to inform the ATO of my husband's passing. I have put this off as it is not a fun task for me. As usual, barely a grunt of acknowledgement. He saw what the application was and that I was clearly the widow and offered no sympathy, not even an "I'm so sorry for your loss". He rudely asked for my ID, which I handed over. He then said "you have other ID?" assuming he meant my supporting documents, I handed them over (certified copies of will and death certificate). He asked where my original of the death certificate was, to which I replied "in my house. I have a certified copy." At this point he refused to process my form any further, claiming I needed originals. This is untrue and is CLEARLY stated on the application summary this is not the case. He refused to listen to reason or offer any sympathy or apologies that according to his interpretation of the process (which I suspect he didn't know well), he would not be able to proceed. He did not seem to care that I, the widow putting in this form could be upset by the delay in this process. I will be taking my form to a friendlier post office from now on and only use this one when I absolutely must to pick up missed parcels. Deplorable customer service from this Post Office - avoid if you can."

"The lady working was on her own and had a number of customers with multiple parcels, but she stayed calm and focused. She worked very fast and was still very friendly and helpful even though she clearly had reasons to be frustrated about the workload. Thank you for a good experience at Australian post."
