Reviews of Baringa State Secondary College
"horrible school no one here is good, they rip off the mirrors in that bathroom"
"Kids are horrible there, too many fights, bullying, and criminal activity, only good thing there are the nice teachers"
"Teachers are really nice and wonderful but the schools higher-ups intensively struggles to deliver adequate punishments to the shockingly large amount of bullying and criminal students. Gaslighting and disregarding repeated offences by other students towards one of my friends to the point of breakdown and strong consideration to homeschool is Disgusting. There is a persistent lack of moderation and the rules strictly prevent any form of defence. Accompanied by ignorance, slow responses, little to no assistance to victims and an overall troublesome atmosphere from most if not all higher-up staffs. Disappointing. (2022) —- Update on the school (2023) Positives: + Teachers are slightly more frequent. + Stricter punishment (Suspension). + Still mostly wonderful average staff (e.g. Teachers). + Fights less common. Negatives: - ‘mob-mentality’ or single person Harassment still frequent. - Gossip inevitable. - Frequent use of offensive or derogatory slurs, symbols and language towards minority or protected groups and general groups. - Higher staff still ‘okay’ or ‘meh’. - Property destruction and vandalism from students. - Malicious and intentional Misbehaviour frequent. - Use of illegal substances (Vape, Cigarettes.) - Lack of educational assistance and understanding for/towards special needs. - Lack of educational work or assistance from Aid/Sub teachers. - Targeted Bullying sometimes common."
"best school ever, all teachers are really nice aswell as the students"
"Excellent school with supportive staff that go beyond. You can see that this positivity reflects in most of the students too. Great first year, well done!"
