"Budget Direct is not reliable or trustworthy. They gave me false advice not to file police report and mislead me to believe I had a chance in a defence claim. They make no effort to do a proper investigation and is only interested in quickly closing the case. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"

"I was in a car accident where I was at not fault. Driver ran a red light and crashed into my car. They suffered little no damage and my car was severely damaged on the side and the front. 6 months after closing my not-at-fault claim and waiving access, they are now coming with a liability claim from the other party. I have written a statement closer to the date, but now they are manipulating me to change the statement so they don't have to be taken to court. There were some inconsistencies in my story because I had forgotten parts of it due it happening a while ago, but everything is actually written in my statement that was lodged the day after accident. I have suffered psychological and monetary loss. They have waived all the fees because I do believe that they messed up some point in the process. For the way they were speaking to me, no way this was done with the best interest for me."

"Under NO circumstances ever EVER !!!!!!! Let budget direct, Send you and your vehicle to one of there BUDGET repairers. The main theme is quick and cheap. The insurer will not authorise any quality repair work over there preference for a shoddy (that's good enough) repair. Even if the repairers claim to be able to do quality work, This is not what Budget will want or allow. If you feel there are legitimate systems in place to protect you from this kind of blatant unethical behaviour. Think again!!!. The professionals, who will only Authorise cheap work are the same assessors, who will then inspect your vehicle if you make a complaint about the misaligned panels or obvious discrepancy in paint colour. The only person who is served by having the job done properly is YOU, Not your insurer, Not the assessor, Not the repairer and certainly not Auto and General who will ensure that any complaint is swept under the carpet by the first three. For any of them to do otherwise would endanger the entire corrupt system by admitting fault and liability for their own actions. If you legitimately feel the need to be amazed, try your hand at one of their preferred repairers. Then watch in amazement and astonishment when someone who claims to be a Senior Assessor stands shoulder to shoulder with you, inspecting a third rate accident repair that even a three-year-old could detect as faulty and listen to them declare that the repair is fine and be dismissed."
