"I spent hours in City Chic today and had SO much help from Ariarn, I had to get her name to leave this feedback because I was just so thankful for her help!! Not only did she help me with a bra fitting and finding a few other pieces of clothing she actually stayed back after her shift to help me so thoroughly and I finally found a perfect fit and left with 2 sets + a few more bits and pieces. "I'm not from Australia, I'm visiting from South Africa where you can find the size 18+ at most stores. It was a huge culture shock to see how many stores don't stock size 18+ clothing for women and some of those that do, don't have the best fashion sense for the plus sized section. Walking in and out of multiple stores in Chermside mall was absolutely deflating, heartbreaking and devastating as many of them not only did not stock clothing my size (18), as they only go up to size 16, the retail floor staff were not happy to try and help me find a cocktail dress for a function. Eventually after walking the mall over and over with my mother we found City Chic. Right away we were welcomed with warmth and kindness, offered help at any stage of our shopping experience if needed and advice on which outfits could be best suited for which events. It had to have been the most heartwarming experience I have ever had. They had options for not only sizes smaller than me, but also larger and plus size! The designs were fashionable as well. The staff offered to help put options into a changing room for me and a stylist offered advice and as soon as I tried the first of the 4 dresses we picked off of the racks I immediately fell in love with it. The two staff members helping me gave me compliments that made me feel amazing and comfortable in my skin. Some may see that as a sales ploy but one could feel the sincerity coming from their hearts. As soon as I was checking out I told the cashier that I was from South Africa, so I wouldn't be able to come back to the store but then she told me that there is shipping in my country and I was absolutely thrilled! Yes, we have the size options available in South African retail shops but this shopping experience has made me want to become a future customer even when I'm not in Australia. So thank you to City Chic and it's wonderful staff at Chermside mall, this is an experience that will stick with me."
