Welcome to FORMBOLT, located at 27 Strong Avenue in Thomastown, Australia. We are an establishment, point of interest, and store that specializes in providing innovative solutions for constructing reinforced concrete slabs.

At FORMBOLT, we offer a unique alternative to traditional timber bracing and star pickets. Our Formbolts are designed to be hooked onto steel mesh wires and fed through pre-drilled holes in the form board. By simply tightening the nut on the outer side of the board, you can securely brace your concrete slab.

Each bag of Formbolts contains 50 bolts and nuts, weighing a total of 2.8kg. The nuts and bolts themselves weigh 56 grams, ensuring a lightweight yet robust solution for your construction needs.

To complement our Formbolts, we also offer Socket Adaptors. These purpose-built adaptors feature an aluminium internal sleeve and nylon outer sleeve, providing a lightweight and durable socket adaptor that is easy to use and long-lasting. Each bag includes 2 socket adaptors, weighing 150 grams in total.

For situations where additional distance is required, our Large Extension Hooks are the perfect solution. These hooks can be used to hook onto the mesh or to connect Formbolts to overlapped mesh wires. Each bag contains 100 extension hooks, weighing 2.5kg in total, with each hook weighing 25 grams.

Using Formbolts offers numerous advantages. They ensure the structural integrity of foundations to engineering specifications, eliminate crushed pods from foot traffic and concrete, and make working along tight boundaries much easier by removing the need for timber bracing and star pickets. Additionally, they allow for faster set-up, as there are fewer obstructions to navigate. The ability to loosen or tighten the nut allows for precise adjustment of the form board on the string line during the concrete pour. Moreover, Formbolts prevent form boards from shifting out of position, especially in wet conditions.

By using Formbolts, you can eliminate leg lacerations and trip hazards caused by timber braces and star pickets around the perimeter of the foundation. This not only promotes a safer work environment but also ensures a cleaner site, reducing the risk of safety incidents.

Since 2015, Victorian concreters have relied on our Formbolts for their raft slabs and waffle pod slabs. These Formbolts have been tested for their tensile strength by NATA accredited ExcelPlas Polymer Testing, with an average force of 1.737 kN.

When it comes time to remove the form boards, the process is simple. Just loosen the nut, snap the end off, remove the board, and cut the bolt flush with the slab using an angle grinder.
