About Southern Cross Catholic College Scarborough Secondary Campus
Welcome to Southern Cross Catholic College Scarborough Secondary Campus! We are a co-educational day school offering education from Prep to Year 12, providing families with a pathway to lifelong learning. Our institution was founded in 1995, when seven Catholic primary and secondary schools on the Redcliffe Peninsula came together to form Southern Cross Catholic College. This amalgamation not only created a college with a rich history, but also one of the largest co-educational Catholic colleges in Queensland.
Despite our size, we prioritize the individual growth and pursuit of excellence for each student. With four campuses spread across the Redcliffe Peninsula (three primary campuses and one secondary campus), we ensure that every student is recognized and valued as an individual. Our campuses are conveniently located within easy reach of each other, allowing for seamless transitions throughout a student's educational journey. At Southern Cross Catholic College, we may be four campuses, but we are one united community.
Our college holds great meaning to all members of our community. It is a place where students can thrive academically, spiritually, and socially. Our dedicated and passionate staff provide a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters personal growth and empowers students to reach their full potential. We strive to instill strong moral values, compassion, and a sense of social justice in our students. Our religious education program is an integral part of our curriculum, helping students develop a deeper understanding of their faith and encouraging them to live out Catholic values in their daily lives.

Reviews of Southern Cross Catholic College Scarborough Secondary Campus
"Disgusting and unprofessional acts from teachers/the school. Multiple reports about a boy sending un-wanted and explicit text messages to 13 year old girls and nothing has been done about it, only the girls getting in-trouble and the boy getting nothing and being let go. School is supposed to be a safe zone for every student. Do better. I will be making a report to the head of school. This isn’t right. Children should feel safe to go to school."
"This school has nice teachers but the admin is all over the place. Many people complain about the uniform policy although I believe it is fine. The admin team here seems almost incapable of showing empathy, some students are unable to complete assignments or hand them in due to medical or family reasons, however this is not something they care about at all. Students are also restricted to who they can sit with at lunch breaks, due the behaviour of others student. Why are they not dealing with this properly? Punish the students who aren’t behaving well and not the ones who are. The schools I.T. department is incompetent, students are blocked from installing programs, although some student want to install educational programs they cannot. There is so much to say about this place but seriously the admin team need to look in a mirror, people are not happy here! Staff have even been writing five star reviews on this place, people are paying money for this place, it’s unacceptable. And stop making people sit in hot places for pointless assemblies. And you wonder why enrolments are down! Not everyone’s made for high academic achievement please start considering students who don’t achieve, you should be supporting them."
"The school has gone bankrupt 3 times. Makes students clean the school when they should be learning. When something happens to a student they have to fill out forms that are unreasonable. Not allowed to be seated with certain students and friends. If a student fails a exam or assignment there is know way to gain that grade back. The assignments gets handed out at unreasonable times. Pointless assembly's that gain no advantage to education."
