Reviews of Glasshouse Mountains Riding School
"Lovely place. I had great memories on these lands. God bless you. Grettings from Spain family."
"To the last 2 reviews of disappointment, it is sad that you feel this way. We had alot of issues created by the two families, mainly not following our rules and proceedures, e.g.using riding school equipment where is was made clear in the agistment agreement they signed they had to supply their own tack, going into unauthorised areas, accusations against our staff and clients that after investigation were all false. 1 basic rule that was broken of not to ride out alone for safety reasons, a horse was unfortunately injured and had to be euthanised. The young girls were brought to the riding school and left for hours unsupervised by their parents which is stated in the agistment agreement the a minor is to be supervised at all times, unless under riding instruction by an instructor. We also have the problem of these clients riding their horse when he was lame which we also disagreed about as they had no idea what a lame horse was. I have written this goggle review to place the other side of the coin. I am glad the the two families have found somewhere they are happy and wish them all the best."
"A disappointing experience for our family with a lack of professionalism from the business at the outset. From first impressions the presentation of the school and it’s facilities were poor with evidence of minimal maintenance, hygiene and care. Port a loos are a disgrace and the undercover viewing area of the sand arena is constantly filthy with no effort in making it a nice space for parents, extended family & friends etc to watch a lesson or provision of any reasonable seating. There are some unqualified staff giving lessons of which you are still required to pay full price and others have witnessed unsafe practices and incidents. Horses are not paired to the rider’s experience or size and you can expect to see your horse deteriorate if agisting based on poor pasture (commented on by industry professionals), inadequate feeding and roaming livestock devouring feed due to substandard fencing. Additional charges are billed to you with no prior explanation and we advise a vet treat in the case of illness. Adding to this is the unfriendliness of staff with no acknowledgment when visiting and negativity shown in the learning process. With unsatisfactory customer service, communication and support we were forced to make the decision to remove our horse and ourselves from this establishment. The business owner was not prepared to find a solution or be proactive with our feedback. We are now all flourishing elsewhere, our horse is happier and improving immensely. It was an unfortunate journey in horsemanship and horse ownership for us all so we recommend you be aware."
"Very disappointed with this riding school. Not enough adults helping kids and unqualified "kids" teaching lessons. When I communicated my disappointment to Belinda, there was no reply. Very unprofessional and unsafe riding school. Also agistment is overpriced with minimal care and dangerous paddocks.. wouldnt recommend."
"My son absolutely loves it here. We booked him into an Adventure Camp over the school holidays, it was a drizzly day on the Sunshine Coast the day of the camp but we received a text message early hours to let us know the day was still on and there was a wet weather option prepared. I was so impressed with Belinda, Stephanie and all of the welcoming and friendly helpers that ran the day. My son had the best day and it was hard to tear him away at the end! It was absolutely worth the $120 for the day. Belinda was fantastic with all of the children, catering from total beginners like my son to the more experienced riders who were there and there was non stop smiles and laughter all round. The facilities are fantastic, safety was absolutely a priority and you can tell all of the horses and ponies are well loved and very well cared for. We have since started group lessons on Saturdays with Stephanie and can see us spending our weekends here for years to come. Thank you Belinda for providing such a special place!"
