About Pine Community School
Welcome to Pine Community School, an independent democratic community primary school nestled in the picturesque bushland of Arana Hills, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Our institution is dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, physically, socially, emotionally, and creatively.
At Pine Community School, we believe in the power of small, multi-age settings and a high teacher to student ratio. This allows us to personalize the learning experience for each individual student, ensuring they reach their maximum potential. Our dedicated teachers, parents, and the wider community work together to foster positive self-esteem and motivate all students to become responsible and engaged learners.
We are proud to have recently celebrated our 40th Anniversary, marking four decades of educational excellence. As you explore our website, you can enjoy our anniversary booklet, which showcases the rich history and achievements of our school. We invite you to view it on your computer or laptop or download it as a PDF.
If you are interested in learning more about Pine Community School, we offer school tours where you can meet our staff and families. During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to attend a short presentation that highlights the key values of our learning community. We believe that by involving families in the education process, we can create a strong support system for our students.
Due to the overwhelming demand for enrollment, we regretfully inform you that our school has reached full capacity. Our waiting lists are currently filled until 2027, reflecting the high demand for our unique educational approach. However, we understand the importance of providing opportunities to more families, and we are actively exploring the possibility of opening a second campus in the coming years.
For detailed information regarding our enrollment policy, please refer to the Enrolment Policy on our Policy Documents page. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our limited capacity and assure you that we are working diligently to expand our offerings.
Thank you for considering Pine Community School as a potential educational home for your child. We are committed to fostering a love for learning, a sense of belonging, and a strong foundation for future success. Reviews of Pine Community School
"My daughter loves this school. It's unlike traditional public schools but she's learning heaps and having fun doing it."
"I am a parent of Pine since 2017. My daughter loves going to school every day. I love that she is learning and growing in a close-knit community of kind people who appreciate her. She is challenged academically and supported in all areas of her learning."
"ex-student - i absolutely loved my time at this school i only wished i was a student at this school at a much earlier stage of my education, i wouldn't of been subjected to the physical abuse and neglect i suffered from my teachers from public schools... Maris - the principal is a very very friendly and out going person.. if i have kids i will be sending them to this school if possible -edit- I got back to the school occasionally to help out, and VERY impressive, the kids can choose what they want to learn in their 30 minute blocks of time, either learn a language, use Tinkercad (3D design and printing software) and many other topics... customised learning at its best ! And pine is leading the way, now let’s hope the public system can catch up .."
"This review is from 2 former students from pine Community School both in year 9 entering year 10. Review from person 1 I enjoyed my time at this school, went here from year 1-6 it was fun here I learned a lot, I remember doing plays and performances at the school and going to wet and wild at the end of the year, I made friends here that I am still friends with now and after going to this school I’m doing well in high school academically and in general I would recommend this school. Review from person 2 My experience at this school was in general very good. This school introduced me to the dramatic arts which I intend to peruse into the future as a career path. The friends I made at this school have been some of the best I’ve ever had and I know my life would not be the same without this school."
"This school focuses on the whole child and is inclusive of emotional and social skills as well as academic. We love being part of the community and watching our children's excitement about learning"
