Reviews of Petrie State School
"If you have a child with an intellectual disability or mental health diagnosis please chose any other school than this one. Zero care for bullying and when brought to the schools attention they simply protect the bully. NO extra help placed in the classrooms when promised to do so, so many empty promises to improve my child’s experience with no positive outcome. The schools head master is too busy trying to be the kids friend rather than actually laying down ground rules. The only upside to this school was one administration staff and the deputy who moved to Morayfield for the term. Pulled her out two weeks shy of finishing her time up at this school due to being told she needs to communicate when a child is giving her horse bites during class knowing full well my child is diagnosed PTSD/anxiety and cannot communicate feelings."
"The bullying at the school is unbelievable. The way the administration team handle is worse. I am made to feel like I’m an inconvenience for asking for answers and expecting resolution to the issues. Soo disappointing"
"We have chosen to send our son here after a rather underwhelming experience with our default catchment zone school. I cannot praise their enthusiasm for learning and respect more. The school faculty is impeccable with their organisation and most of the teachers are friendly and interact well with the children. A fantastic learning environment for the kids. They have air-conditioned rooms but no fridges FYI"
"The school went down hill when mr woodwood joined after that the schools teachers have been leaving. I do like the variety of sports and the love of cricket from the teachers I had. This school was good once and can get better again."
