Reviews of Lowood State High School
"Good school, teachers communicate well, my student is happy and does well there."
"Nothing's Changed from 1994 that the Staff & Teachings are Low Grades. Building's are great & Big, Students are Rough & Not Held Accountable for their Mistreatment of other Students. This Poorly Run/Managed High School Needs to Remind Themselves that the way that Teens are Treated had Lasting Mental Health issues well into their 20's & 30's. Wish I could Say I Loved my High School Days but it's very Far from the Truth. (Miss V Registered Mental Health First Responder Gold Coast)"
"it is usually $2 to get head but now it's 10 talk about inflation"
"The head of the school and the support staff are very unsupportive and do not guide students throughout their schooling life. There was various opportunities for guidance but the staff did not put in any effort to guide and Instead attempted to kick a student out of the school to save their statistics and used the excuse of ' you won't be getting your QCE ( Queensland Certificate of Education)' but the student has all points required to atain it. The teaching staff are lovely and will help your child through their schooling life but the head and deputy of senior schooling are ill-equipped when it comes to aiding students. Some teaching staff are not well equipped to teach students, and some subjects that are taught are understaffed and as a result the subject content is not delivered well. The principal of the school talks about the permah pillars and the rise values that are 'applied' at the school at every occasion given. Although these pillars and values are not upheld or enforced properly. The pillars are not demonstrated by staff either thus making the pillars and values effectively useless. Henceforth the usefulness of the signs around the school being null and void. Ultimately while Lowood state high school is good for students that are academically inclined or successful, this school is not good for students that struggle."
