Uniting Early Learning The Gap
About the Business
Welcome to Uniting Early Learning The Gap, an exceptional institution located at Waterworks Road, 1050 in Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, we take pride in providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can explore and learn at their own pace.
At The Gap, we believe that children learn best through play and positive stimulation. That's why we have created natural spaces that encourage exploration and curiosity. Our outdoor areas feature native bees, a worm farm, herb garden, flora, and a mud kitchen, allowing children to connect with the natural world and unleash their imagination.
Inside our homely indoor spaces, we prioritize the development, learning, and wellbeing of each child. Our Educators foster warm, sensitive, and responsive relationships with the children, creating a sense of family within the center. Regular interactions between different age groups offer rich sensory experiences and promote social development.
When you choose Uniting Early Learning The Gap, you can rest assured that your child will be in the hands of a dedicated and qualified team. Our Educators are continuously involved in professional development, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest practices in early childhood education. We are proud of the cultural diversity that exists among our team, enriching the learning experiences for all children.
Under the leadership of our experienced Centre Director, Deborah Spence, who holds an Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, we are committed to providing professional care and continuous improvements. We understand that the early years are crucial in a child's life, and we strive to lay the best foundations for their unique learning journey.
Community spirit and strong family connections are at the core of our center. We start each day with a morning ritual, gathering as a whole center to give thanks to the Jugerra people, the traditional custodians of the land. This ritual sets the tone for a day filled with development, exploration, and growth in physical, social, emotional, language, and cognitive aspects through play.
At Uniting Early Learning, we value each child and their family as individuals. We promise to welcome all families into our community with respect and the highest level of support and partnership. Our aim is to create a community and environment where children feel confident to guide their own learning and make decisions, knowing that support is always available to guide them through setbacks and celebrate successes.
As an activity of the Uniting Church in Australia, Queensland Synod, we strive to make our center an inclusive and supportive environment for all children. We acknowledge the Turrbal people as the traditional custodians of the land and are committed to creating a safe and respectful space for every child to play and grow.
If you're looking for a place where your child can thrive, Uniting Early Learning The Gap is the perfect choice. Come and see for yourself why our center is the ideal setting for your child's growth and love of learning.

Reviews
"The outdoor space is by far the largest and most natural of all the local daycare centres. If you value your child having space to run around with trees and bushes and natural grass and dirt , then this is the best place, as well as sandpit, swings, mud kitchen etc.. The director & all educators are dedicated & caring. The indoor rooms are clean & tidy & well resourced with educational and open play toys. The older kids room (2.5ish -5 years) has a weekly music class and a weekly art class, which is much loved by the kids too."
