"Poor quality workmanship and poor customer service. Walked into the shop to drop off my car, owner says give me two seconds I need to run next door then proceeds to disappear for almost half an hour. Regret not leaving then and there. When I get the car back the fuse and cable are incorrectly sized, dash has been damaged to install brake controller knob and work looks like it was done by a monkey. Frayed cables, terminations loose or incorrectly fit off, incorrect size and type of cables used, melted cables, Anderson plug cables falling out of the plug, brake controller not fixed in place as per installation manual and general poor workmanship all around. After a phone call to the store the response was that these things were not issues at all and received no apology, no offer to refund or rectify the issues and was hung up on. Do yourself a favour and go to any other auto electrician."
"Glen was such a great help cause i had an ignition problem with my ford territory. He said i could leave the car there which i did for 4 days and he worked out and fixed my problem for a great price. Very honest and great to deal with and i highly recommend him. Thanks again Glen from Tony Bennett"
"Glen has taken care of my car for years! He has been nothing but polite and professional and always gets the job done in a sufficient amount of time! 10/10 Would recommend to anyone :)"
"I took my car to Bayside Auto Elec for Glen to try and figure out why I had lost all my gauges on the dash and why all the warning lights were flashing. I left the car with him and after 4 days of next to no communication I called around and was told that he could not find the problem. In that 4 days my car had apparently been “taken to a mate around the corner” to be diagnosed with better equipped testers. Still with no luck I was told that “Google” suggested it was something in the cruise control and that Glen had taken my dash out to try and diagnose the problem in that area. I suggested I just take the car and have a look myself but asked if everything could be put back which Glen assured me it had been. I called up a different Auto Elec and they came out on Sunday and diagnosed my car within 15 minutes and explained the Body Control Module was reading scrambled information. Long story short they fixed it and it’s better than I could have expected. Once I got my gar back I noticed a piece of trim around the radio had been cracked and snapped off. I questioned the Auto Elec and he assured me it was like that when I dropped it off. I called Glen and asked if he had broken the trim and he admitted he had. Points for honesty.. I was skeptical when Glen said there would be no charge for having my car for 4 days and not providing me with any information about why my car wasn’t fixed. I have since found the same piece of trim from a wreckers at my own expense and have heard nothing from Glen who said he would replace the trim. $50 out of pocket for someone else’s sloppy and unprofessional work. Never go to Bayside Auto Elec!!"
"Absolutely atrocious service. Went to get electric brakes fitted. On leaving I realised the dial didn't fit into the dashboard and just wobbled around. On driving home the airbag lights came on saying they were disconnected. The car is a year old and has had no problems. I phoned the manager and he said it wasn't his problem, he hadn't touched the airbags. We were going to take it back to him to fix but the workmanship worried me and I decided to take it to another auto electrician friends all recommended. The manager here told me that if his 2 week apprentice had done a job like this, he would have fired him. Bayside auto electricians had cut through wires to make the electric brakes fit, thus why the airbags along with a number of other items were not working. He had broken the panel in the dashboard to fit the product and on inspection, the brakes were not actually installed properly and fell away. It cost me $750 to fit the electric brakes at Bayside Auto Electrical and $1500 to rectify his mistakes. Yes I could have taken it back to him to fix but with workmanship like that I didn't want him going near my car. Steer clear of this man. He has no idea what he is doing and has no concern for safety. Expensive lesson learnt and want to prevent others from learning it the way I did."
