"- Paid for a "lower sump" leak repair on my Tuscon ($665). - Less than 12 months later the leak had returned. - Received advice from Hyundai that the "upper sump" is now leaking: (Quoted $2500). Note: Car has only done 60,000km. - Took Tuscon to a local mechanic who diagnosed the lower sump as the problem. - Supplied third party report and photos to Hyundai. - Hyundai checked the vehicle again and claimed it is the 'Upper sump' ($2500) and they supplied no evidence. - Took Tuscon to get a third opinion and based on an oil dye and UV light test, it is definitely the lower sump. I am in the process of writing a letter and lodging a consumer issue with ACCC."

"I think this place is fine for a service, but if you have anything more complicated with your car they don't take the time to diagnose it. We took our car in with an obvious problem, they said they couldn't diagnose anything but to bring it back in if the problem came back. The problem was still there pretty much immediately after the service and getting worse, so we called back and were told that we could bring the car in to get the oil levels checked (they were fine), but the car couldn't been seen to for another 3 weeks. I understand it was the Christmas/New Year's break but it was pretty disappointing that we were told that we could be seen to straight away after the first service - don't promise people that. We're now booked in with our local mechanic and are very hesitant to go back to Hyundai just to be given the run around again."
