Industry Capability Network (ICN) Victoria
About the Business
Welcome to the Industry Capability Network (ICN) Victoria, located in Melbourne on Little Lonsdale Street. As an establishment and point of interest, our institution plays a crucial role in connecting local Victorian businesses to project and networking opportunities, ultimately helping them succeed.
At ICN Victoria, we work in partnership with the government to implement the Local Jobs First policy and Social Procurement Framework (SPF). Our main objective is to activate fair opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to compete for work on major projects. We have become the trusted adviser to both the government and the industry, thanks to our expertise in business capability and identifying local content opportunities.
Our team of Industry Advisers engages extensively with the Victorian industry, allowing us to provide valuable insights and guidance. We offer support through our VMC system, which assists in the tendering phase for Agencies, submission of Local Industry Development Plans, and reporting for Agencies, lead contractors, and supply chain.
We have established strong relationships with various businesses and organizations, such as Camatic Seating, ARTC Inland Rail, Insulpak, John Holland, and Wamarra, among others. These partnerships have proven to be successful, fostering collaboration and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.
One of the key aspects of ICN Victoria is our commitment to social procurement. We believe in the positive impact it can have on individuals' lives and the community as a whole. Through our Social Procurement Program, we provide support and guidance to make these opportunities a reality.
Our networking events and industry briefings have been highly beneficial for businesses, allowing them to showcase their capabilities and connect with potential partners and clients. We understand the importance of networking in projecting a business's expertise in the marketplace, and we have been a valuable part of many businesses' networks since our establishment in 1984.
We also offer the VMC system, which has proven to be a valuable tool for businesses in terms of efficiency, policy processes, and reporting. It has significantly reduced the time required to compile information and has streamlined data management.
Whether you are looking for your next project, seeking reliable suppliers, or interested in social procurement, ICN Victoria is here to support you. Utilize our powerful networking database to discover opportunities and connect with the best businesses across Australia and New Zealand.
Join us at ICN Victoria and let us help you navigate the world of project opportunities and business connections. Together, we can drive the growth and success of the Victorian industry.

"They change login requirements, then have noone answering on their help desk. Rubbish service. Cannot even login even though we have paid!!!! Questioning if I will continue with them. The story continues. We again cannot log onto our ICN account because of the way they want us to set up 2FA. Happy to give them our phone details over the phone or via email but that does not work for them. Why? Because their IT Department says so. After a couple of phone calls and email we got our access back for 48 hours on Friday, just before the weekend and now back to no access. The ICN story only gets better. On 15/6/23 our Premium Level 12 month Subscription was auto renewed via direct debit for $1,480.00. We were advised on 8/6/23 this would occur. On 13/6/23 we received an email stating ICN Premium costs $1,400.00, $80.00 less than what would occur with auto renewal; and we could get a discount of 15% taking the cost to $1,258.00 if we renewed before 30/6/23. Interestingly 15% off $1,400.00 is $1,190.00 not $1,258. We mistakenly assumed we would be auto billed the discounted amount. Over billed at least $222.00."
