Reviews of Cruice Park
"The area was 60%+ occupiedby, it seemed, homeless people who had been there for weeks, if not months. Dogs were free and roaming. We felt neither comfortable nor relaxed. The toilets have recently been upgraded, hence 2 stars and not just one."
"There was a wood fired pizza van there when we stopped over in our caravan for a break. It was cheap, delicious, and made right in front of us in 10 minutes. Lots of campers were staying there. Clean public toilets. 20hr. Free camp."
"Fantastic free camp. Toilet and shower facilities. A couple of covered seats and tables. Lots of places to set up close to or away from other people, whichever you prefer. I stay here semi-regularly to break up an otherwise long drive."
"Quite spacious but fills up by 4pm. Has toilets. There are a few people living here in tents etc long term but it's still tidy and very quiet. Great spot for an overnight stay."
"Cruise Park is a great free overnight camp. It has a 2 toilet blocks, one new and one old. Both have men, women and disabled facilities. They are both well stocked with toilet paper and soap and we'll on maintained. There is a playground next to the toilet block with a slide, monkey bar, climbing net and fort over wood chips. There are also several bins across the toilet block. There is a.bitumen parking space in from the toilets and.a.large grassy area at the back of it. Unfortunately, despite the signs of the park being only an overnight spot some people overstay their welcome and stay more then the allowed time and makes the place look unkept however the Woodford council makes sure than the grass is well kept which is a real plus. An added plus to the park in is the Deadwood pizza. This gourmet pizza offers wood fired great tasting country pizza that is different from the mass produced pizzas of the big enterprises. Although a bit pricey for $22 a box, you will not regret trying their delicious pizza! Kudos to Woodford council and residents for offering this free camp for us travellers. Generator allowed."
