Reviews of Phat Elephant
"Lovely venue and food is OK portion sizes are generous. We had a snall group booking and had ordered individual dishes and entree by email but waited 30mins for the entree and 1 hour to have our lunch served. 1 main didn't served and had to wait another 20mins after we let them.know about this!"
"One of my favourite eats in Brisbane city. The set menus all feature delicious dishes that are spicy, tangy, and comforting. Honestly, the best part is the value for money, as individual dishes alone are large portions, and even the set menus (set menu 1-$32pp, set menu 2-$42pp), make you well and truly full. I personally loved the Massaman curry, with meat that was falling apart. Everything was cooked beautifully, prepared and served uniquely. The pineapple fried rice is even served in a pineapple!! The staff were kind and kept us in the loop regarding kitchen and restaurant closing times. The drinks were a nice addition. This is the perfect place for a fun group celebration or a tasting experience with a partner for date night. I would recommend the restaurant to attain more keys to the bathrooms as it seemed that the keys were in hot demand and usually difficult to locate. But this was more an issue for the group I went with and not myself personally."
"Certainly the most unusual Laksa I had, but very delicious. I am just sad i didn't get to try the Coconut Icecream! Will definitely be back!"
"The worst Thai dishes I ever had!!! 泰难吃了!!!!The beef and soft shell crabs are not fresh, Tom Yum Goong soup is too sweet! Don’t try it please!!!!!"
"The restaurant itself is really nice but the Thai food just isn’t really authentic or tasty. My pad see ew felt rushed and I’ve tasted better ones at a mall food court. It lacked seasoning and garnish, and vegetables and was just simple noodles and soy sauce. It didn’t taste very good either. My friend had the pad Thai and it was also okay. The portions were quite large though. If you want authentic Thai food, this just isn’t the place to go to."
