Airwork Helicopters
About the Business
Welcome to Airwork Helicopters, located in Caboolture, Australia. As an airport, establishment, point of interest, travel agency, and university, we are your one-stop destination for all things aviation.
Since 1986, our team of 30 experienced flight instructors, aircraft engineers, and mechanics have been proudly mentoring aspiring and qualified pilots across Australia. We have built a reputation within the aviation industry for providing high-quality flight training, and our partnership with TAFE Queensland ensures that you receive the essential training framework needed to fly a commercial aircraft in Australia.
Our Caboolture flight training facility boasts top-of-the-line aircraft and modern avionics, ensuring that you have the best tools at your disposal during your training. We offer CASA-approved flight reviews and endorsements to qualified pilots looking to renew or improve their license, and vocational study loans are available for those who need financial assistance.
If you're unsure about a career in aviation, we offer trial instructional flights (TIF) where you can experience what it's like to pilot a helicopter or aeroplane. These 30-60 minute flights provide valuable insight into our flight school and help you determine if aviation is the right path for you.
Located on the doorstep of beautiful natural landscapes and skylines, such as Moreton Bay, Glasshouse Mountains, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Scenic Rim, and Lockyer Valley, our airfields offer the perfect backdrop for joy rides, airport transfers, winery tours, or scenic flights. We have a range of packages waiting for you to choose from.
For those seeking a more personalized experience, we offer custom charter flights. Our experienced pilots know all the best spots along the coastline and islands and can help tailor a flight to suit your needs.
In addition to our flight training and charter services, Airwork Aviation is also a trustworthy partner for all your helicopter or aeroplane servicing needs. With decades of industry experience, our experienced aircraft engineers can take care of everything from diagnosis to repairs, overhauls, maintenance, and inspections. We also sell aircraft parts and accessories, including our very own Bell 206 Rotor Tail Blades.
Don't just take our word for it, hear from our satisfied customers. Cameron A. shared, "I found the structure of the course great, it has a perfect mix of theory and practical training. I was able to learn about various types of helicopters, aerodynamics, and meteorology, so I knew what to expect when I got behind the controls for my first flight." Tyrone F. added, "All the theory helps when you get to the practical part of actually flying the helicopter. That first flight is exhilarating but because you know your stuff, and the instructor is guiding you, it's an amazing and exciting experience."

Reviews
"Very good experience. Zac took us for a scenic flight over Brisbane for sunset in August. It was magical. Thanks again. Highly recommend."
"Great flight school, the instructors are very supportive and go to great lengths to help students out. Very well looked after aircraft. Would recommend this school!"
"Great school, good aircraft, excellent support with staff who genuinely want students to succeed. Was part of the first fixed wing class, couldn’t recommend more."
"A school where the bullies aren't the students, but the teachers. Extremely unprofessional and a toxic environment. Teachers jumping on desks and yelling at students, smoking in classrooms and aircrafts, making students cry and humiliating them in front of others. There have been multiple internal complaints against this school but so far non have been put forward to TAFE, which is disappointing. Fear of repercussions or further bullying is the reason for this, students are afraid to speak out. How this school has been able to maintain their contract with TAFE is shocking. The teachers have turned the students against each other by telling them who they should and shouldn't associate with. Airwork fixed wing is a new school that will eventually be fine tuned. I hope that this happens sooner rather than later and the bad emloyees are replaced. Unfortunately these aren't the only disturbing aspects of this school, the shame culture that penalises students for mistakes with payment of a carton of beer is disgusting. It leaves doubt that students will mention any unsafe irregularities for fear of being financially penalised, which leads to a very unsafe environment. Qantas has a no-blame policy for this very reason. This is not a school that you want on your resume, look elsewhere."
"I went through the first CPL fixed wing course with airwork aviation and my experience was great, the instructors and school go above and beyond to help you get through your licence and become a competent pilot. I highly reccomend going through airwork aviation if you're looking at getting your CPL."
