"I got car transit insurance for my car. I cancelled the insurance before the start date as I realised my current car policy covered me for it. Express insurance "used their right" (as per their policy) to charge the brokerage fee for the insurance I never used. Around 1/3 of the price is the brokerage fee charged. They do justify it "as highlighted in their policy". I am not sure how can they justify it ethically. Please make sure you are aware of their "policy clause" and this practice before you take out a policy with them."
