About Queensland Performing Arts Centre
Welcome to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC), located in the heart of Brisbane City's South Brisbane district. As a multi-purpose institution, QPAC serves as a cafe, establishment, food destination, point of interest, and restaurant, offering a diverse range of experiences for visitors.
One of the highlights of QPAC is the Digital Stage, a platform made possible by QPAC that showcases a mix of free, paid, and exclusive on-demand content. Through the Digital Stage, audiences can enjoy a variety of performances that celebrate the talent and creativity of Queensland-grown artists from all around the state.
For those seeking a complete QPAC experience, look no further than the Lyrebird. With its contemporary menu and impeccable service, the Lyrebird offers a quintessential dining experience that perfectly complements the performances you'll be attending. At QPAC, we value the support of our community. There are various ways you can contribute to our mission of fostering a creatively engaged society. Join us in celebrating the vibrant cultural scene of Brisbane as we bring back the beloved musical MAMMA MIA! for a strictly limited season. And don't miss out on the exciting events happening during the Brisbane Festival 2023, where QPAC will be hosting a range of performances and activities for all to enjoy.
One of the highlights of QPAC's program is Clancestry, a festival in November that celebrates First Nations Peoples and the performing arts. Experience a captivating program featuring live music, intimate theater performances, free children's events, and more, all showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Australia's First Nations.
Frances Rings' inaugural work as Artistic Director at Bangarra Dance Theatre is a powerful testament to history and heritage. Through dance, the performance tells the story of the earth and sky, connecting audiences to the profound connections between past, present, and future.
To further our commitment to reconciliation, we invite you to view QPAC's Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), which outlines our dedication to working towards a more inclusive and respectful society.
Planning your visit to QPAC is made easy with all the information available on our website. From ticketing details to venue accessibility, we provide everything you need to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
We extend our gratitude to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ancestors of this land, acknowledging their spirits and the legacy they have left behind. The foundations they laid inspire and empower current and future generations, both from First Nations and non-First Nations backgrounds, in our collective efforts to create a better Queensland.
Join us at QPAC and immerse yourself in the vibrant world of performing arts, where creativity, diversity, and community come together to create unforgettable experiences.

Reviews of Queensland Performing Arts Centre
"Recently went to see Moulin Rouge The Musical in Brisbane with friends and we all absolutely loved it. The Lyric Theatre was fantastic for this musical everyone had a ball what an upbeat colourful production it was truely amazing. If you haven’t seen it yet do yourself a favour and go it’s nothing like the movie it’s so much better we think. We all came out after the show on a high it was so entertaining and memorable. Lots of bars nearby for after show drinks What a great night out it was such fun Very Impressed Customers"
"Great show, great location . The couple of issues i had was the unisex toilets were not real user friendly. I noticed a few people including myself had trouble getting the doors to close and in the foyer waiting to go in, there was snacks and drinks available but very limited places to sit and enjoy. Overall, all the staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous."
"Wonderful venue. Great atmosphere for a show. Theatre itself in excellent condition. Lighting was beautiful. Child friendly staff. Awesome acoustics & cleanliness was of the highest standard. Looking forward to more opportunities to come and enjoy some excellent entertainment. So many hotels walking distance to really make it a weekender."
