When you attend one of our shows, your evening ticket price of $40 includes a delightful selection of nibbles, a delicious main course, and delectable sweets to satisfy your cravings. For our matinee performances, the ticket price also includes a lite meal and two refreshing beverages. While you are welcome to bring your own nibbles, all drinks must be purchased from our licensed bar, in accordance with our liquor license.
Doors open promptly at 6:30pm, allowing you ample time to settle into your table and seat setting before the show starts at 7:30pm. Please note that we pride ourselves on our punctuality, ensuring that you can enjoy the full theatrical experience without any delay.
As a company, Act 1 Theatre Inc has been a cornerstone of the Strathpine community for over 30 years, proudly residing in the heritage-listed Pine Shire Hall. Our rich history dates back even further, with our humble beginnings in Aspley in 1965. We are a family-oriented company, dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all who enter our doors. Our friendly staff will greet you with a smile, and perhaps even a joke or two – some of them are even funny!
Throughout the year, we produce 4 to 5 shows, encompassing a diverse range of genres from comedy and farce to drama and thriller. Additionally, we host an annual theatre restaurant, providing a unique dining experience intertwined with captivating performances. Our highly anticipated theatre festival, known as the "Act 1 TheatreFest," showcases the incredible talent and creativity of both local and international artists.
To enhance your experience, we offer a fully licensed bar where you can enjoy a drink before the show, during the interval, and after the performance. Our dedicated volunteers are always on hand to assist you in choosing from our wide selection of reasonably priced beverages.

"Saw Cracula's Castle here. What a great little local space. Charcuterie and a show. Great performance with snacks and booze what more could you want?! Its a bit of a tight squeeze and the chairs are a bit hard but you are not there a long time. Parking around the venue. Close to the train. Staff were all super friendly and the decorating and vibe were en pointe."

"My Sister and I went to see Pirates on the first night. It was great fun and we had an enjoyable time. The music was contemporary with a pirate twist and costumes were good. However we thought the air conditioning needed adjusting in the audience section as it was a bit high and was freezing cold. Otherwise a good night out. The cast and crew worked hard to make it a good night out. Well worth the ticket price."
