"Appalling customer service!!!!!! Forceful procedures for use of digital cashless payment and when you genuinely cannot use your card (in the process of ordering a new one due to not being able to swipe and pay) you are then given a run around, told to go elsewhere with only 5 minutes to get your ticket and board the bus. I had rang the evening before to get the time of last bus travelling to Avalon, I got the information needed but wasn’t informed in any way that I should consider paying online because the skybus hubs are not always open and you cannot pay with cash on the self serve computers. I then seen a man walking into another skybus hub further down where the coaches and sky bus reside so I rushed over to him to express how stressed I was and didn’t know what to do with the time I had…. He told me to go have a chat to the bus driver, assuming there would be some humility I raced over with my child and explained what had happened and what I was told. He then got on the phone and made a phone call.. when he got off he said he couldn’t take me, was rude in his demeanour, even though I told him I have the cash and can show it, I just needed to get home and could NOT afford to miss that flight. He just went about what he needed to, closed the doors and took off. In the end, it cost me $120 to get from southern cross to Avalon via taxi. Caused nothing but inconvenience added pressure and stress. Unkind and unhelpful people have been employed to service the public that have no empathy themselves. Melbourne really needs to pull their heads out their bums. The most pathetic and under developed transport system I have encountered. Nsw train link is state of the art and the people working with the public are exceptional. There is no excuse for Victoria to be so behind. It makes me sick experiencing the difference in treatment and lack of information given from services provided by Melbourne staff that are in association with the skybus company. Maybe provide a cash option inside the train station not across the road and down the way."

"If they call Jetstar the Orange Gamble, I’d call this bus the Red Gamble. It is not a frequent enough or reliable service like the one to and from Tullamarine. Timetable suddenly changed without warning (from 4.00 to 4.30 am) meaning I wouldn’t make my early 6 am flight. Forked out for an expensive cab ride instead. Consider flying to Tullamarine."

"Try and get a front row seat up on double decker and enjoy the 40 minute drive to Southern Cross. Have USB A charging ports above each seat. Vodafone provides free ( slow ) internet on board."
