"Rented a 3 bedroom apartment since November 2016 for employment purposes as I am from Victoria. This place is not what it was 3 years ago. There was a swimming pool and a very attractive recreation area as well. New management destroyed all these to make car parks just to make money. They should have planned it better. Now it is a concrete jungle. Surrounding trees are not trimmed on time as a result my apartment was invaded by a possum and several personnel belongings destroyed. Electricity and Net gear internet was free now they all come with bills. Biggest issue is when you leave. They do every trick in the book to scrape every coin from your bond. Pleas be cautious if you decide to rent here"

"This place is nice and not too expensive a stay. Just make sure that your vents in the bathroom are open as many students from overseas close them."

"Background: I was in a separate 3-bedroom apartment to my partners 4-bedroom apartment with both separate ending lease dates, both at the same complex. My partners was set for the end of February and mine was set for mid-late April. Aim: To move in together. Method: In January we asked to cancel both our leases and sign a new one for 12+months in the same apartment. Denied. We asked to cancel my lease and sign on until the same end date as my partners lease (late February). At which point we could sign a new lease for the same apartment. Denied. We asked to extend my partners lease to the same end date as my lease (mind-late April). At which point we could sign a new one for the same apartment. Denied. Reasoning: We can’t terminate leases unless we make money out of it. My reasoning: We’ll go somewhere else one by one and you won’t have two customers. That’s not making money I said. Denied. “We don’t allow tenants to sign short term leases.” I said “yes you do, with my friend who moved out 3 months earlier. His lease ended 7 weeks before that! But he told me he signed on with the agreement that it could be 6 weeks or it could be 10 weeks. That it needs to be flexible because he was finishing up university with the uncertainty of placement." Well, the UniRez representative doesn’t know where I got those facts. So I put that aside. I said, “Fair enough. But in the interest of business, you’ll make money off us by staying on." Denied. "Why?" "Because we don't make money off destroying the current lease." I swear she didn't understand me. I said, "if what you care about is money, then let us sign on for longer!" Denied. Next place I go to, “sure, your partner can sign on with a 6 to 8-week lease, whatever you need, and we’ll just transfer it over to the new place once your lease ends at unirez.”#UniLinkVillage"
