Our accomplished vegetarian chef has over 20 years of experience in cooking both Western and Chinese cuisine. Using natural ingredients such as gluten, soya bean, mushroom, taro, konnyaku yam, and a variety of herbs and spices, he has mastered the art of infusing flavors to create perfect meat replacements in our delicious dishes.
For over two decades, our chef has been experimenting and perfecting vegetarian cuisine by using natural ingredients to craft dishes that perfectly replicate the texture and flavors of meat protein. Whether you are a vegetarian or simply looking to explore plant-based options, our menu offers a wide range of choices that will satisfy even the most discerning palate.
At VegieHut, we believe that vegetarian food should not only be healthy but also delicious and satisfying. That is why we strive to create dishes that are not only good for you but also bursting with flavor.
We are open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday. Our lunch hours are from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and dinner is served from 5:30pm to 10:00pm (until 10:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Please note that we are closed on Tuesdays.

"I had been going there for years, and I am known to nearly all staff there but I’ve noticed that their service Is getting worse and worse every time I visited. I went there with my friends on Friday night and we ordered more than $100 of food and yet the service was even worse than I had ever experienced. They need to understand that they are not the only vegetarian restaurant in Melbourne and there are so many more places that offer good food and good service. We don’t go there to see waitresses roll their eye balls when we order a table full of food and pay top dollars. That was gonna be my very last time there ever and I will also tell my friends to avoid there at all cost."

"One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Melbourne, regardless of cuisine. Came here on a Sunday for the special discounted lunch menu as well as Yum cha - the congee is amazing and definitely a must try. Bowl was absolutely huge. We've been here many many times and have tried most things on the menu and can honestly say there are no bad dishes. Serving sizes have definitely shrunk recently a bit compared to the past but flavour is still there!"
"So delicious! Good portion for good price. This was the duck and BBQ pork rice for only around $15.5. It even comes with a soup on the side. Also really loved the fin soup as well. Amazing staff. Waitress was too kind :)"
