Welcome to Dalton Road Maternal and Child Health Centre, located at Thomastown, Maple Street, 145b. Our establishment is a point of interest that specializes in providing health services for families with children from newborn to school age in the City of Whittlesea, Australia.

At Dalton Road Maternal and Child Health Centre, we understand the importance of providing free and confidential care for families. Our dedicated staff consists of Registered Nurses who have additional qualifications in Midwifery and Maternal and Child Health. With their expertise, we aim to improve the health, wellbeing, and safety of families, as well as promote the learning and development of children.

We are aware that Maternal and Child Health services across Victoria are currently facing a shortage of qualified nurses, which may impact the range of consultations available. However, we are proud to offer a range of services to support families during this time.

Our MCH services cater to infants from birth up to 12 months of age, as well as all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander infants, children, and families. We also provide support for children and families with additional needs. In addition to our MCH services, we offer a Drop-In service and the MCH Line 132 229 for further assistance.

To make an appointment or make changes to an existing one, please request an MCH Appointment. If you require immediate assistance within the next two working days, please contact our team at 9404 8888 between 9am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

For any breastfeeding concerns or feeding issues, our Maternal and Child Health Nurses and Lactation Consultants are available for a chat. These sessions offer an opportunity to seek advice in between your child's Key Ages and Stage assessments.

We also provide support programs such as First Time Parent Groups and Sleep and Settling programs, which are facilitated by professionals to assist parents in their parenting journey.

Our Enhanced Maternal and Child Health (EMCH) Service is an outreach program that offers additional support to families with children from birth to preschool age who may be facing challenges impacting parenting, relationships, and well-being.

We are committed to engaging with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and offer programs such as the Deadly Boorais and Deadly Families Program. These programs actively involve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and support their engagement in our Maternal and Child Health service. The Yarning Circle and Drop-In Session within the Deadly Boorais Deadly Families program provide further opportunities for connection and engagement.
