About the Business
Welcome to Currawong Bush Park, located in Doncaster East, Reynolds Road, Australia. This establishment is not only a park but also a point of interest and a popular tourist attraction. It is the perfect place for kids to explore and immerse themselves in the wonders of the outside world.
As you wander through the park, you will discover an array of beautiful sculptures dotted around the trails in the bush. Landscapers, sculptors, and artists have come together to create a natural play space for children. Can you spot the kangaroo? Kids can play in the woven cubby, curl up in the giant nest, or even count the ants the echidna is about to eat.
Nature enthusiasts will be delighted by the opportunity to spot native birds, lizards, and frogs during their adventure. If you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a wombat or koala. The park also offers picnic areas where you can enjoy a bite to eat surrounded by the beautiful bush or cook up a feast using the onsite barbecue facilities.
Currawong Bush Park boasts a variety of tracks that you can explore on foot. Our self-guided walks will introduce you to different areas of the park, such as the scar tree and the billabong. To access the park, you can park your car at one of the two carparks from the Reynolds Road entrance. Alternatively, you can walk to the park and cross the pedestrian bridge near the Mullum Mullum Trail north of Reynolds Road. This track forms part of a 4.5-kilometer circuit walk through the park. For a shortcut, you can take the driveway to the central area.
If you prefer biking, you can take your bike and use the pedestrian bridge from the Mullum Mullum Trail and the vehicle track from Arnold Drive. However, please note that bikes can only be used on vehicle tracks to protect the park and the animals that call it home.
Please be aware that dogs are not allowed at Currawong Bush Park as it is a protected habitat.
For your safety, it is important to note that all Manningham reserves, including Currawong Bush Park, are closed on days with a total fire ban higher than the severe Fire Danger Rating. Visiting the park on these days puts you at risk and potentially in danger. To check the current Fire Danger Rating or find out if it's a total fire ban day, you can visit the CFA website.
We kindly ask that you inform us if you notice anything unsafe, such as a broken tree branch or damaged playground. Your assistance in maintaining the safety of the park is greatly appreciated. It is worth mentioning that finer fuels such as leaf litter, tree branches, and twigs raise the level of risk within reserves. On the other hand, large fallen trees require a much higher level of heat to burn and provide habitats for native wildlife.
At Manningham Council, we take pride in managing 20 percent of the land in Manningham, but it is important to note that the other 66 percent is privately owned. For information on how to prepare your private property for fire, we encourage you to visit the CFA website.

"Beautiful :) There is lots of natural bush to see and so many different types of birds. There are also a number of trials to walk. Many kangaroos live here too so if you want to see them this is a good place to come to."
"My kids had enjoyed seeing the friendly kangaroos. I will definitely visit again to explore more this Godly created beautiful nature."
"A really lovely piece of bushland next to the suburbs. Plenty of kangaroos throughout, an abundance of birdlife and frogs calling. Nice tracks, some sections at single file and not too steep. The drive in to the second car park is a little narrow."
"We came after lunch at Westfield Doncaster on a 20°C Saturday. Took the 5km creek circuit. Half of the walk is rough terrain, up and down with some steep climb. Single file walk. Other half consists of gravel walkways, and the return walk alongside Reynold road is asphalt. Time to listen to the birds, hear the sound of running water from the creek and check out native plants. There are seats peppered along the circuit. Occasionally pass by other walkers and bikers. A group of kangaroos lazing under the shade on the return leg of the walk. Excellent bush walk experience so near my suburb. Truly a hidden gem. I'll come again with a drink bottle."
"It was a pleasure to visit Currawong Bush Park and it’s very beautiful all the way around. We saw a group of kangaroos and a wallaby as well as numerous birds in the area. Will definitely go again soon!"
