Russian Sunday school LIDER

Russian Sunday school LIDER is a non-profit public organization located in Oakleigh, City of Glen Eira, Victoria, Australia. The school caters to children from Russian-speaking families who have immigrated to Australia from the former Soviet Union republics.

Our school provides education to students aged 4 to 14 years old, who come from diverse ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds. What unites them is the Russian language, culture, and their ancestral homeland.

The curriculum of our school focuses on the study of Australian, Jewish, and Russian cultures through communication in the Russian language. Our plans are tailored to meet the needs of the children and aim to create harmony in our multicultural society.

The school is managed by an executive committee, and the administration maintains close contact with Russian-speaking community organizations in Melbourne to promote and preserve the Russian language, heritage, history, traditions, and culture. Many of the parents are members of these community organizations, which enriches our students' experience, instills a sense of national belonging, and continues the traditions.

The primary mission of our school is for teachers and parents to work together for the benefit of the students.

Established in 2007, Russian Sunday school LIDER is accredited by the Victorian Department of Education.
