One of our recent highlights was the DOUBLE FORMAL 2023, which was a huge success. To accommodate our growing school community, we held two formals on Thursday, August 24th. It was a night to remember for our students, filled with joy and celebration.

In addition to our academic curriculum, we also offer a range of extracurricular activities to enhance the overall learning experience. Our South Melbourne Art & Design room, led by the talented pre-service teacher Ben, provides students with the opportunity to explore their creativity through portraiture lessons.

At Hester Hornbrook Academy, we are committed to promoting inclusivity and diversity. During Reconciliation Week 2023, we dedicate time to learning about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements. We believe that by understanding and respecting each other's backgrounds, we can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

We also take pride in supporting our Queer students during the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia. We believe in celebrating and supporting our students in both big and small ways, ensuring that everyone feels valued and included.

As an institution, we acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the Elders past and present, recognizing that Aboriginal sovereignty has not been ceded. We understand that we live and work on unceded Aboriginal Land, and we are committed to honoring and preserving its heritage.
