"It is one of the best spots for sunset in Rye. I have been here a couple of times, and I would love to go again. It's a 10 mins walk from the car park and must climb the steps to reach the top view"
"Beautiful spot, but closed in may for the season !!"
"Amazing, beautiful views and energy thrilled spot"
"Great set of steps leading to the look out and a ramp and steps take you down the other side. It's a great walk at any time of the day. There are swans on the water, feeding in the shadows; views across to Melbourne on a clear day (during a northerly breeze); photo opportunities of the sunrise to the right and sunset to the left. A local group maintains the bushland and erosion control and we get really offended when people dump their picnic garbage in the bushes. If you see rubbish, consider taking it home to your bin so it doesn't end up in the sea. The car park is at the end of the caravan park, which is empty between Easter and Christmas (full most of the rest of the year). You walk through the end of the caravan park (not toward water) and turn right to pass the kiln on your left. Stop and look at the kiln, it's got great interpretive signage. Then take the 20-25 metre walk along the sandy track towards the beach and turn sharp left about 5 metres from the end of the track. You will see the beachfront, look for a track and the foot of the stairs is seen about 10 paces along. I'm writing this from home so my distance estimation might be a little out. Use Google maps for an aerial view, so you see what I mean as there are no signposts."
"About 50 steps to climb up to lookout over Rye to Arthur's Seat and down to Sorrento. Lovely view and nice walk along the front beach"
