"One of the best southern fried chickens in Sydney. Crispy, juicy and flavoursome! Highly recommend it and I would definitely return if I'm in the area. Customer service was friendly and engaging and the food was cooked fresh and came out in a reasonable time frame. Very pleasant to chat with. I had the mix pack in a combo with a chocolate shake, which would be enough for 2 people, or if you're a atty-fay like me, it's more than enough food. For the price you pay, the quality and portion size make it worth. If I was guessing, their shakes are around 750-800ml in size and I'd say it's in between a thick shake and a milkshake. The chicken is really good. The crumb is crispy and has a good amount of flavour, plus you can add more flavour with their spicy seasoning. Chicken is well cooked and juicy, in my case, nothing was dry and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My favourite were the wings and surprisingly the breast stripes are really good, like a really tasty crispy strip. Shoutout to the onion rings, made in house and fried to crispy perfection in the same crumb as the chicken. Gravy is good, a nice thick consistency with good seasoning and as advertised, goes well with everything. If you're planning to drive, there isn't any parking at the location. Either park at the pub across the road and cross the street, or there's a street directly behind, but you have to walk up a fairly steep hill."

"Great chicken. Juicy and tender with a light and crispy, well seasoned batter. Didn't feel too greasy or heavy. Chips decently seasoned chicken salt, but felt dry and starchy. Would pass on the chips next time, but return for the chicken."

"Lovely chicken shop. Staff are lovely. Please remember to close the door when entering/exiting. Chicken was cooked well, a tick dry on the inside. Just a touch, but safety first. Don't want undercooked chicken Batter is quite thick. Seasoning is applied after cooking. Hot/spicy is actually quite mild or moderate at most varying between a 2-3/5 I was hoping for something similar to southern fried chicken or Nashville styled chicken. There was no smoke, no sweetness and no kick or spice that I was hoping for, but that's not Hill Billy's fault. They don't claim to be any of these things. It's good, Crispy, home styled fried chicken done well. It's probably one of the best fried chicken shops you'll find, better than the bland stuff at KFC or Red Rooster. Definitely give some of the sauces a go as well. Go in with an open mind and enjoy the chicken."

"The Hillbilly Burger was so delicious! I can guarantee you that their chicken is out of this world! I am allergic to chicken, but I can't help myself but finish the whole burger because it is so delicious! Another thing is that the Burger is humongous, and they served a lot of chips with chicken salt on it. It is really a bang for the buck!"

"Our first trip to Hillbilly's did not disappoint. We had read about the portion sizes, and we still ordered much too much for 2 of us! Our server was super friendly and helped us navigate the comprehensive menu. The burger was delicious, moist chicken in a crunchy coating - we split it between the two of us. The mixed chicken pieces were stunning - chunky & crunchy they were beautiful as were the dipping sauces we were recommended. To round it all off the fries with liquid cheese were simply the best Ive had. The cheese sauce alone is terrific."
