"BUYER BEWARE. Not the best shoe buying experience. Bought five (5) pair of shoes valued at $1300.00 last week. The sales staff insisted on knowing my shoe size. I questioned at the time in the shop and did not even know what size i was trying. I was supposed to rely on their expertise. I was unfamiliar with each brand. When I returned home an hour later, I called the store to question the shoe size again as I still felt some were too big. They advised that the shoes were non-refundable or exchangeable. This purchase was sizable! I did not ask for my money back, simply wanted the correct shoe size that felt right. Shoe sizes vary from each manufacturer. I have neuropathy in my feet so a shoe that is too big is a hazard/critical. I know I will trip and fall in a shoe too big in the toe. Josephine’s website does not have any return/exchange policy language listed. Do not allow them to “recycle” the shoe box for you as you usually cannot return anything without it’s original box. This is yet another way they deceive the buyer. Buyer beware! RESPONSE TO JOSEPHINE: Toni, your salesperson, neglected to listen when I told her that the Remonte Tex sneaker felt too roomy in the toe but she insisted it was the correct size. The other 4 pair I purchased fit correctly—it was just the one pair. Toni had every opportunity at that time, to advise me of your no return/exchange policy. I even said to her that it was difficult fitting the shoes without trying them on with the intended sock. I tried on about ten pair of shoes that day and decided on just five as I said I would return the next day or two to purchase additional pairs. I like the shoes in the store. I am still bewildered as to why you would not even accommodate the exchange that day, hence why I waited a week to post the review. I did not refuse to give my contact details as you stated, I merely said to Toni I would provide the information on my next visit that week. As I said earlier, there was no exchange/refund policy displayed in your store nor on your website regardless whether you sell online. There should be a disclaimer somewhere on the site. Toni DID NOT ADVISE before payment was successfully made—BUYER BEWARE! Finding out about your no refund/exchange policy only on the receipt only is disgraceful. If I had known this information before purchasing, I definitely would have come prepared with my socks in hand. As the $250 sneakers do not fit me, I will happily donate the shoes to a woman’s homeless shelter where someone less fortunate than I can use them"
