Lilydale Judo Club

Welcome to Lilydale Judo Club, located at 20 Market Street in Lilydale, Australia. Our establishment is a health-focused point of interest that is dedicated to providing comprehensive Judo training for individuals of all ages and skill levels.

At Lilydale, we understand the importance of emphasizing all aspects of Judo. Our junior classes are specifically designed to cater to beginners as well as advanced practitioners, with our youngest member starting at the age of 4. We prioritize the development of technique and grading, while also preparing our students for competitions. It is worth mentioning that we are proud to have several members who have represented Victoria at the National level.

In addition to learning Judo techniques, our students also gain knowledge about the theory behind Judo and learn various Japanese words that aid in their understanding of technique names. We strongly encourage our students to represent our club in the regular competitions organized by Judo Victoria, as well as our own two in-house competitions.

Our senior class is tailored to accommodate individuals of different ages and abilities, with our oldest member currently being 65 years old. We foster a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone works together to help each person reach their full potential.

It is fascinating to note that Judo has a rich history and global reach. Since its introduction in 1964, Judo players from 107 countries have represented their nations in the Olympic Games.
