"I have to say that I have been nothing short of disappointed every time i went in for my dentist appoint ever since Dental Excellence was bought out by Maven Dental. It was almost immediately apparent that the "big player" was here to make money and not to take care of the patients. Prices immediately changed with extra charges shoved onto the final bill without even consulting you first. It is important to note that I am someone who has spent thousands upon thousands on my teeth and I spare nothing when it comes to my teeth so I am not tight with my money, Dental Excellence wasn't cheap by any means but I was happy to pay because I didnt feel ripped of and disrespected and I felt that the dentists and hygienists working there were well worth the money. For the last year and a bit I have noticed that Maven Dental have extreme issues with staffing, they are constantly short staffed and cant even get anyone to answer the phones half the time. All the dentists and hygienists that I loved are now gone - I think its clear why. Obviously there is a reason they can not get quality staff and thats another reason for me to leave, I do not want to support a company that doesn't put their employees first (YUK, this is 2022 and we are in Australia not a sweat shop in a third world country). At the end of the day your people are your most important asset and if you disagree, let me see you try running a business without quality employees. The last appointment I had here was the final straw and it is safe to say I will be finding my self a new dentist after being a patient here for about 10 years. Both my partner and I had a clean up appointment and the clean up was being done by a dentist - as they either do not want to employee hygienists or just cant get anyone due to not being a good workplace. (not sure which one is worse tbh) At the end of the clean up we were both charged for a Check up, Fluoride application and the clean up. I understand if I had a hygienist doing the clean up and then a dentist had to come and do an examination, id get that. But the annual check-up is literally a dentist looking at your teeth. (which she was doing whilst doing the clean up). Just vicious. I will not support an organisation that is clearly not an employer of choice and also treats their patients like cash cows - I have terrible concerns that they won't look after my teeth properly, that their priority will be just to charge me as much as possible for anything they can. So I am out."

"The best dentist experience I've ever had. I turned up at Maven after a long time of not visiting a dentist and it was absolutely not as scary as I remembered. Dr Tharani was a big part of that, she was so kind and gentle, constantly checking in on her anxious patient to make sure I was ok. She explained things to me, taking away some of the mysticism around dentistry that I think makes it scary. The dentists assistant was friendly, as was the receptionist and it was altogether a very positive experience. Thank you all."
