Reviews
"Had seen some negative reviews while seating and waiting for food. Most review were regarding delay in service. However, we received our food well ahead of time and it was worth the price of the food. Everything were very tasty and way better than expected. Thanks and we'll be back."
"They forgot we were there, we waited 25 extra minutes while our food sat on the bench in a bag going cold. They replaced everything except the $50 ribs that they put back on the hotplate and recooked, turning the existing sauce to charcoal and make the ribs taste like a fire pit, straight overwhelming charcoal flavour. We had to throw them away. They had assured us it was okay, and even said if there was any issue they'd look after it for us - we stupidly trusted them. I called the owner, who was at first rude and kept saying that the moment we took it out of the restaurant it was our problem, then when we explain that we patiently waited 40mins for food and were polite to all the staff and what actually happened, he suddenly had a thicker accent and couldn't understand half of what I said. He then gave his final offer - I come back and pay for new ribs with a 10% discount, which eventually rose to 15%. He expected us to pay to replace the meal that they promised they'd sort out if there was any issue due to their mistakes - which was the only reason I even accepted the food without demanding a refund or waiting another 30 minutes for fresh. If i was just rating the staff, it would be a higher rating, they weren't so bad beyond the screw up, but the owner would have offered to give me his own children before he offered to replace the $50 ribs they destroyed."
"The entree we had was awesome however when we received our mains, they were over cooked, way too salty and my partner even found a hair in his food. His dish was barely touched, and after telling him we didn’t want another new plate, he was not offered an apology from the manager(the initial staff member has apologised) let alone a refund We both work in hospitality and that is definitely not how something like this should have been addressed - pretty poor on that managers part."
"Let's start with the good. The ribs were tasty - sticky and just sweet enough - and the meat fell off the bone. The corn chips with artichoke and cheese dip was also pretty impressive, with the cheese nicely baked so the top was crispy. However, the pork belly bites were way too sweet and saucy (it left a strong aftertaste and odd feeling on your tongue). The thing that really shouldn't be on the menu is the apple crumble. I love apple crumble and was excited to see it on the menu. But it tasted like months-old frozen dessert that got re-heated in the microwave. It wasn't good. The pastry was mushy and both tasted and smelled old, like wet cardboard that had been defrosted."
