In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our patients and staff. If you are experiencing cold/flu symptoms, we kindly ask you to do a COVID Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). If the test result is positive, please book a phone appointment by calling our practice or booking online. We kindly request that you refrain from visiting our surgery if you have a positive result.

We understand that convenience and accessibility are important factors in healthcare. Therefore, we offer phone and telehealth consultations, allowing you to receive the care you need from the comfort of your own home. However, please note that Medicare only offers a rebate for telehealth consultations if you have been seen face to face in our surgery within the past 12 months. An exemption to this rule applies for those who have tested positive for COVID-19.

When visiting our institution, it is mandatory to wear a face mask. This measure is in place to protect our vulnerable patients, especially those undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or with weakened immune systems. We kindly ask that you maintain a safe distance from staff and other patients while in the surgery, whenever possible.

Our tenant GPs have now returned to mixed billing, as the government COVID incentives have ceased. Patients with government concession cards will be asked to pay a concession fee, with an approximate out-of-pocket expense of $12.

We always welcome new patients, and our fees are listed on our website. It is important to note that Medicare advises that telehealth and phone consultations for new patients or those who have not been seen face to face in the last 12 months do not attract a Medicare rebate.

MedPlaza is a state-of-the-art medical practice that offers a comprehensive range of medical and allied health services, all conveniently located under one roof. Our tenant GPs provide mixed billing, with limited bulk billing. We offer bulk billing for GP consultations from Monday to Friday for DVA Card holders and students with a valid Medicare card. Additionally, we bulk bill all children up to the age of 15. Please refer to our Fees page for more detailed information.

Our Allied Health team also offers mixed billing, and we have HICAPS to facilitate health fund gap payments.

Medplaza is conveniently situated at the corner of Tennyson Rd and Herbert St, within walking distance from Breakfast Point and Mortlake. We have dedicated parking spots right outside the entrance door, making the clinic easily accessible for disabled patients.
