"I purchased a light weight polyester jacket with concealed hood in November last year & had worn it less than 5 times since purchase, just over T-shirts. The fabric is shredding around the armholes, because on inspection, the seams holding the sleeve and body of coat together, have only a single row of machine straight-stitching with no over-locking, so both edges of fabric are raw and have a minimum allowance from the stitching. Consequently, after a few wears, the silky polyester fabric shreds which can be seen on the outside of the jacket. The jacket's side-seams have French seams (edges are concealed inside the seam), but the seams which can't be seen easily (armholes, and sleeves from armpit to cuff) because of inner half-lining, are completely raw. I bought this on sale but there was no signage or labeling to say I was buying a factory second. In fairness to the East Bentleigh outlet, I have been offered another identical jacket as an exchange, but it too had the same unfinished seams! Consequently, I have been offered a credit for the cost of my unwearable jacket. I have bought Black Pepper T-shirts and shirts for years, and have always been satisfied with the quality - they are dye-fast no matter what colour, and generally quite well-made. The same style of jacket is available in Black Pepper shops at present although in black/white polka dot (mine is junior navy/white) and they are selling for $119. I understand from speaking to a saleswoman in one of the retail outlets, that those in stock have French seams around the armholes. If I was buying another one I'd check the sleeves' seams running down to the cuff as well! Caveat emptor ...Buyer beware!"

"Lot's of stuff for women, my wife bought quite a bit. Stuff for guys as well, but very limited and difficult to find the right size for me, "medium". Lot's of large and super large, and some small, but Average/Medium sized very limited for men. Lot's of change rooms which have overhead radiant heating just outside which is needed in winter as the Warehouse part is freezing! Very limited parking!"
