At Caring Minds Clinical Psychology, we offer both in-person appointments and telehealth sessions via phone or video conferencing. We believe in using an eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectic Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Counselling, Motivational Counselling, and Supportive Counselling.

Our specialization includes Perinatal counselling and Parent-Infant therapy, utilizing treatment approaches such as Watch, Wait and Wonder, Marte Meo, Tunning into Kids, and Circle of Security. We are accredited to provide services through various channels, including Medicare, WentWest Primary Health Network, SIRA (Workers compensation and CTP insurance), Victims Services, and Private Health Insurance.

During the initial session, we focus on getting to know you and discussing the issues that concern you. Together, we establish goals that will guide subsequent sessions. The number of sessions required varies depending on individual needs, with some clients benefiting from just a few sessions while others may require 10-20 sessions. We offer flexible scheduling options, including weekly, fortnightly, or less frequent sessions as therapy progresses.

Your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance to us. We ensure that all information shared remains strictly confidential and will only be released with your consent.

While a referral is not necessary to see a Psychologist at Caring Minds Clinical Psychology, having a GP referral is required to access the Medicare rebate. To access the rebate, you will need a GP Mental Health Care Plan and a referral letter specifying the number of sessions your GP is referring you for (typically 6). Individuals are entitled to up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Our fees are set well below the recommended rates by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). For face-to-face appointments, our standard rate is $200 per session, while telehealth sessions are priced at $185. As Medicare service providers, individuals with a GP Mental Health Care Plan are entitled to a rebate of $131.65 per session. Additionally, rebates may be available from select health funds.

We understand that financial hardship may be a concern for some individuals. Therefore, we offer reduced rates and are able to see clients under the WentWest Primary Health Network who are on Centrelink benefits and/or experiencing financial difficulties.
