At Dina Soufy- Clinical Psychologist, we offer a wide range of mental health services through our team of experienced Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Psychologists, and Social Workers. We accept referrals for the treatment of various conditions and provide psychiatric and psychological treatment for different disorders.

In addition to our counseling services, we also conduct Cognitive Assessments (IQ Testing) and various Psychometric Assessments for children and adults. Furthermore, we offer Medico-Legal Assessments for Civil and Criminal Litigation.

To see a psychiatrist, a valid referral from a GP is required, while a Mental Health Care Plan is necessary to see a psychologist or a social worker. These referrals are mandatory for Medicare rebates, which cover approximately 70% to 80% of the consultation fee. Our practice can process Medicare rebates at the time of consultation, with funds credited to your nominated bank account within 48 hours.

Some private health funds also provide rebates for psychological consultations, and we can provide you with a receipt of payment for claiming from your private health fund. However, private health funds do not rebate psychiatric consultations.

If you have approved insurance claims, our psychiatrist and psychologists can provide assessments and ongoing treatment. A referral from your family doctor and approval for psychiatric/psychological treatment from your insurance company are required prior to making an appointment.

Our consultations are thorough, with an initial consultation lasting up to 60 minutes for psychiatrists and psychologists. Subsequent psychiatric consultations are 30 minutes, while all consultations with our psychologists and social worker are up to 60 minutes.

In addition to our services, we can provide reports to Centrelink, Department of Housing, or Department of Immigration, although these reports incur a separate fee.

We understand that having support during consultations is important, so you are welcome to bring your partner or a significant other with you if you wish.

For patients who don't speak English, we utilize Translating & Interpreting Services. However, our clinicians Dr. Samir Benjamin, Lillian Mawad, and Dina Soufy are fluent in Arabic.
