At Western Sydney Clinical Psychology, we are proud to have Dr. Adele Stavropoulos as our warm and empathic clinical psychologist. Adele specializes in helping clients navigate their emotions and develop stronger relationships with themselves and others. With a specific interest in working with families, Adele is dedicated to overcoming emotional and behavioral challenges and enriching family bonds.
Adele's genuine and compassionate style creates a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental space for clients to feel understood, seen, and heard. Through a collaborative and caring approach, she develops tailored evidence-based treatment plans that promote self-awareness and empower clients to heal and grow.
After years of clinical experience across various settings, including public and private hospitals, university and research clinics, private practice, and an NGO, Adele launched Western Sydney Clinical Psychology in Parramatta. Her internationally published research on the use of imagery rescripting to process distressing memories has delivered excellent clinical outcomes.

Our team of clinicians at Western Sydney Clinical Psychology have completed postgraduate training in clinical psychology, followed by further training in a range of evidence-based therapy approaches. This allows us to provide high-quality treatment that is effective, tailored, and derived from the latest research. Our unique approach combines Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), third wave variants (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Psychodynamic Therapy, as well as family systems and attachment theory. Your clinician will integrate these modalities and select the key techniques that will be most beneficial to you.
As a registered Medicare provider under the Medicare Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative, Western Sydney Clinical Psychology offers eligible individuals access to up to 10 sessions per calendar year. With a referral from a GP or Psychiatrist and a copy of your referral letter stating the number of sessions referred for, you can receive a rebate of up to $131.65 per session. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to bulk bill patients, but we are more than happy to discuss fees and provide you with further information.
