Welcome to St George Montessori Hammondville! Located on Walder Road, our centre has been serving the community since 2006. We are dedicated to promoting and celebrating cultural diversity, both within our community and among our families and team members.

At St George Montessori Hammondville, our main objective is to help children reach their maximum learning potential and achieve well-balanced development. We accomplish this by implementing the Montessori approach to education, founded by Dr Maria Montessori. Every aspect of our centre has been carefully designed to embrace this curriculum, fostering a lifelong love for learning.

We take pride in being the best in the area, providing our children with the tools they need for a successful start in life. To accomplish this, we organize community visits to local organizations such as the fire brigade, police department, doctors, dentists, and Kindi-farms. Our children also actively participate in caring for their environment, tending to vegetable gardens and looking after our chickens. We even use our own produce, including chicken eggs and vegetables, to create meals for the children throughout the day.

Our Montessori Programs offer intensive one-on-one lessons on materials, allowing children to engage with mathematical concepts, develop independence through practical life activities, and learn phonics in a fun and interesting manner. By participating in these programs, children gain a strong vocabulary and the ability to articulate various concepts, providing them with a solid foundation for entering school.

In addition to our Montessori Programs, we also offer an intense school readiness program for preschool-aged children. This program focuses on developing children's English, Science, and Mathematical intellect to prepare them for the school years ahead.

One of our priorities is to employ the best educators who are dedicated to providing a stimulating and exciting program for our children. Our caring and nurturing team members, along with an on-site chef who provides fresh and nutritious meals, ensure that our children receive the highest quality care.

At St George Montessori Hammondville, we also place a strong emphasis on community connection. We organize nursing home visits, emergency services visits, and other educational experiences to enhance children's knowledge of the local community.

Our centre features three age-specific rooms - Nursery, Toddlers, and Preschool - ensuring that each child receives age-appropriate care and education. We also offer extra-curricular activities, such as Happy Feet, Shake and Move, and Forever Fit Kids, to further enrich our children's experiences.

We are committed to sustainability and have implemented various initiatives, including veggie gardens, a worm farm, a compost bin, and a water tank, to teach children about environmental responsibility.

Allow me to introduce myself, I am Amy, the Centre Manager at Hammondville. With 9 years of experience in Early Education and a Diploma in Children's Services, I am dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for every child to grow and mature. As a mother of four beautiful children myself, I understand the unique needs of each child and look forward to watching the children at Hammondville grow, learn, and achieve their goals in the early years of their lives.
