Reviews of Folk Lovers Academy Australia
"Folk Lovers academy is one of best in Victoria with such great classes and offers a variety of choices for various levels of Bhangra. Have been with the academy for many years now. Also, best coach ever!"
"Really great experience with folk lover . I can sea real folk skill in my child . Even my Australian born son is singing Punjabi Boliyan and playing Dhol .I would like to express my gratitude towards coach for teaching this skill to our Aussie kids"
"Sukhjinder Singh, the Director of Folk Lovers Academy, is a wonderful teacher, very patient and encouraging! I have only started learning Bhangra and Dhol since last 2 months, and I feel like I'm progressing very quickly! I found this Academy unique as a gateway where children and adults are not only learning Bhangra but also learning how to play folk instruments like Dhol, Algozey, Sarangi, Thumbi, Bansuri, Bugchu. Lessons are recorded and shared with children/parents for them to practice at home. Excellent coaching centres with mirrors to watch/improve your Bhangra steps and great sound system. I feel proud to be a member of Folk Lovers Academy and wish best of luck to Sukhjinder and Seema."
"One of the best bhangra academy in south eastern Melbourne. My daughter and I have been going for 6 months and had a excellent experience (superb teaching techniques and extra attention given to kids). Highly recommended if anyone is looking for bhangra or folk instruments training."
"Folklovers Academy Australia is one of the best Bhangra and music institution in Victoria for various reasons that includes dedicated professional training and respectful learning environment. We are so proud of being part of this lovely organisation to learn Bhangra in a very friendly yet professional environment. Sukhjinder Singh Laddi is a truely gifted, talented and professionally trained coach and founder of the Folklovers Academy. His knowledge and coaching about musical instruments and folk dances is excellent and evident in the previous performances and events all over Victoria. Folklovers Academy always goes an extra mile, when it comes to teach young minds. It reflects within its practice, when children show their respect to cultural instruments and learn folk dances/Bhangra and Malwai Giddha with great enthusiasm. I had opportunities to see children's practices and performances on numerous occasions and I always wondered how children are so connected to their community and have enormous love for their cultural learning. It is clearly reflected when they engage and support each other during performances and collaboratively participate in the community events with increased confidence. I also appreciate how Folklovers Academy involves to support Australian community by promoting ways to help diverse and disadvantaged communities. Recently they participated in a Hunt club fund raising appeal by performing Bhangra. I wish all the very best to Folklovers' Academy Australia to grow further. I would highly recommend Folklovers' to anyone who is looking to learn and play musical instruments, Bhangra and other punjabi folk dances."
