About Beacon House Montessori
Welcome to Beacon House Montessori, a trusted institution located at 54 Railway Parade in Dandenong, Australia. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and holistic learning experience for children aged 2 to 6 years.
At Beacon House Montessori, we believe that every child is both a hope and a promise for mankind, echoing the words of Maria Montessori herself. Our early learners program caters to children aged 2 to 3 years, while our cycle one program is designed for children aged 3 to 6 years. Our Montessori curriculum is balanced, challenging, and child-directed, preparing each child for a lifelong love of learning.
We consider it a privilege to be part of each child's early years learning journey and strive to respect and encourage their development as holistic individuals. Our nurturing and prepared environment allows children to experience the joy and fulfillment of learning through their own free choice, empowering them to develop self-discipline, concentration, respect for the environment, respect for each other, pride in their work, and ultimately, happiness and contentment.
At Beacon House Montessori, inclusivity and belonging are at the heart of our approach. We aim to provide a warm and inclusive environment where all children, families, and educators feel they truly belong. Our carefully designed curriculum features a wide range of hands-on learning materials and activities, intended to stimulate children's minds and foster independent thought. Trained AMI educators guide our children as they explore the material, encouraging their discovery and logical thought.
In our vibrant classroom community, children engage with each other and develop essential social skills. The mixed age range allows for mutual learning, with younger children benefiting from the guidance of older children, and older children acting as mentors. This nurturing and non-competitive environment fosters a sense of community and belonging.
Beacon House Montessori is a small and homely center, dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori program in a nurturing and caring environment. Our thoughtfully prepared environment allows each child to work at their own pace and follow their individual interests. They are guided by qualified AMI directresses who collaborate with each child, promoting growth through hands-on experiences, exploration, and problem-solving.
In addition to our Montessori curriculum, we also offer an Italian program and a Montessori soccer program. When you book a tour with us, we will arrange a time for you to visit and observe a working classroom. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. Afterward, we can register your child for the program and days you're interested in and secure their position with a deposit.
At Beacon House Montessori, we believe that the safety and wellbeing of all children is a basic entitlement. We are committed to ensuring the health, safety, and cultural sensitivity of every child, including those from Aboriginal and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Join us at Beacon House Montessori, where growth comes from activity, not just intellectual understanding. Through our hands-on experiences, exploration, and problem-solving, children develop as whole individuals, building confidence and taking ownership of their own learning.
Based in Dandenong, Beacon House Montessori is proud to be one of the most trusted Montessori early learning centers in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. Book a tour with us today and embark on a journey of discovery and growth for your child.

Reviews of Beacon House Montessori
"Just want to thank the team at Beacon House Montessori for their amazing efforts with our 2 children during their early learning journey, the Montessori program helped them excel in all facets of their development, confidence, intellect and cognition. We noticed a definite advancement in their abilities when they transitioned to primary school. Brian and the team have been wonderful and recommend for all families to participate"
"I originally started my daughter in ehills early learning centre But wasn't a fan of the structure there and the far too paid back feel. Changing over to Beacon house Montessori has been the best decision by far for my daughters education, learning & concentration, listening and at the rate she is now excelling. I have already enrolled my son early! The educators and owners are so helpful, understanding, accommodating and deliver excellent standards! Highly recommend."
"If you are reading this, you’re considering BHM, I hope our experience gives you some insight to help you make that decision easier. Our daughter started when she turned 4, and I had friends rave on about BHM for years. Most of our daughter's peers have been there since 2YO, but at the time we needed an extended hours daycare service. Lucky for us BHM became an extended daycare centre in 2020…This did however allow us to experience other centres, from elite costly ELC’s to the local private neighbourhood daycare centre, I can't really fault either of the previous centres, but in comparison BHM is next level. My only regret is that I did not enroll our daughter earlier. BMH is the place where kids get the love and attention as they would if being at Nana's house, the educators genuinely care for the children and the children love them back just as equally (the last day of Montessori was a sad one for both myself and my daughter, she has made some wonderful friends and to my surprise considering I’m not a mothers club mum also made lots of parent- friends, who I hope to remain in contact with). When we first enrolled, Shemida asked me what I wanted/expected our daughter to acquire from her ELC experience. My answer was simple: “respect and kindness for others and our planet, and confidence in herself to try new things”. My expectations were exceeded. Our DD would come home sharing discoveries about our world, our planet/solar system, Italian and Mandarin and lots of art, songs and exercises/games she had learned and we enjoyed learning a thing or two from her :-) but most importantly it prepared our reserved, mostly shy daughter for Primary School . BHM provided us with a safe place to leave our child and the wonderful educators prepared our daughter with skills and confidence to start her next journey."
