About The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists - Faculty of Radiation Oncology
Welcome to the webpage for The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists - Faculty of Radiation Oncology, located at 51 Druitt Street in Sydney, Australia. Our institution is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services in the field of radiation oncology.
At our establishment, we prioritize the well-being and treatment of cancer patients. Our team of dedicated doctors and healthcare professionals work tirelessly to provide the best possible care for those suffering from cancer. We believe in a multidisciplinary approach to cancer management, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and personalized treatment plans.
As part of our commitment to raising awareness about cancer and its treatment options, we have launched the Targeting Cancer Campaign. This campaign aims to educate the public, including cancer patients, their families, and loved ones, about the benefits and effectiveness of radiation therapy as a treatment option. We strive to dispel any myths or misconceptions surrounding radiation therapy and provide accurate information to empower patients in making informed decisions about their treatment.
In addition to our educational initiatives, we also organize events and activities to support cancer patients and their families. Our recent Targeting Cancer Fun Run brought together 100 runners to raise funds and awareness for cancer treatment. We also host regular meetings and conferences, such as the RANZCR ASM, to facilitate knowledge sharing and professional development among healthcare professionals in the field of radiation oncology.
One of our main goals is to improve access to radiation therapy for cancer patients. It is estimated that 1 in 2 cancer patients could benefit from radiation therapy at some point during their cancer journey. However, less than 1 in 3 patients in Australia and New Zealand actually receive this treatment. Through the Targeting Cancer Campaign, we aim to bridge this gap and ensure that all patients who could benefit from radiation therapy have access to it.
We understand that facing a cancer diagnosis can be overwhelming, which is why we provide a range of resources and information on our website. Our website is a trusted source of information, developed by radiation oncologists who are highly trained medical specialists in the care of cancer patients. We also strive to educate general practitioners and other healthcare professionals about radiation therapy, ensuring that they are equipped with the knowledge to refer patients to appropriate treatment options.
If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to support you and provide the information you need. However, please note that the content on our website should not be considered as medical advice and is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified medical professional.
Thank you for visiting our webpage, and we hope that you find the information and resources provided helpful in your journey towards better health.
