We are proud to share that our recent Greek Independence Day celebration in 2023 was a tremendous success. With more students participating than ever before, the event was filled with smiles and traditional dresses. We were delighted to see an increased number of parents joining us to admire the vibrant parade. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who made this event possible.

In addition to our participation in the Malvern Valley Carnival, organized by Malvern Valley Primary School, we were honored to represent the Greek Language Schools. Our dedicated teaching staff, including Rania, Loukia, and Eddy, showcased the rich Greek culture and language at the Carnival.

At Zenon Greek School, we believe in celebrating Greek traditions and customs. During the 'Apokries' carnival celebration, our kinder children had a blast engaging in art and craft activities, decorating masks, and coloring images. These masks were then used for further celebrations and festivities.

One of our cherished traditions at Zenon Greek School is the cutting of Vasilopita on the first day of Greek School. Vasilopita is a traditional Greek cake served on New Year's Eve to honor the life of Saint Basil. It is customary to insert a coin into the cake, and the person who finds it is said to have good luck for the year. This tradition helps instill cultural values and customs in our students.

As we kick off the new year, attending Greek school at Zenon is an exciting and fulfilling way to start fresh. Our school offers a unique and engaging learning experience, immersing students in the Greek language, culture, and traditions of Greece.

On the 25th of March, we celebrate a significant historical event in Greece. At Zenon Greek School, we strive to enrich young minds with the ideals of freedom, democracy, and heroism. We take pride in nurturing their cultural heritage and empowering them to be proud of who they are and where they come from.

March brings with it the Gaitanaki (Γαϊτανάκι) and the March bracelet at Zenon Greek School. These are integral parts of Greek traditions that have been followed for centuries. Our students learn the meaning behind the March bracelet and engage in dancing while holding colorful ribbons. These activities further connect them to their Greek heritage.
