About Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne
Welcome to Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne (PLC), a renowned institution in girls' education since 1875. Located at Burwood, Burwood Highway, 141, PLC is not just a school but also a point of interest and a primary school that offers a holistic learning experience for young girls.
At PLC, we believe in nurturing the potential of each student and providing them with a diverse and engaging range of activities and opportunities beyond the classroom. We encourage girls to participate in various interests and develop their talents, ensuring that they are active in some way every day.
As a Christian school, PLC is committed to reflecting the loving nature of God in all areas of school life. We instill strong values and a sense of faith in our students, enabling them to grow spiritually alongside their academic and personal development.
Our goal is to inspire girls to achieve their personal excellence across all fields of endeavor. We provide them with the foundations for lifelong learning, enriching their lives and preparing them for the future. Whether it's in academics, sports, or the arts, PLC empowers girls to discover and nurture their talents.
One of the highlights of our school is the Performing Arts program, which offers a range of enjoyable and stimulating opportunities for girls to participate in theater, both on and off the stage. This program allows them to explore their creativity, develop their confidence, and showcase their talents.
We are also proud to share that one of our Old Collegians, Laura Foo, was the grand final winner of the Great Australian Bake Off in 2023. This achievement highlights the excellence and talent that our students possess.
For your convenience, deliveries to the Senior School can be made to Gate 4 Parer St, Burwood, while deliveries to the Junior School and Early Learning Centre can be made to Gate 3 Elgar Rd, Burwood.
Lastly, we would like to acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land on which PLC stands, the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin. We honor their Elders, both past and present.
At Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne, we are committed to providing an exceptional education that empowers girls to become confident, compassionate, and successful individuals. We invite you to explore our website further to learn more about our institution and the opportunities we offer.

Reviews of Presbyterian Ladies' College Melbourne
"The only reason why I came to this school was because of the geese roast. I heard all about it and was incredibly excited, however when I got there all I got was disgusting mac n' cheese. One time I even found hair in it!!! They once tried to poison me with crab and try to rip you off by never giving you the right bill. This is all true :( This was 5 years ago and I have heard worse from my friends still there. Do not go to this school. You will be forced back in to the 1800s where they make you sit in rows like a prisoner. You will die and be forever be traumatised. WARNING. DON'T GO"
"My daughter and our family find PLC nurturing, motivating and inspiring and we love the school’s cultural diversity."
"I'm an old collegian myself and I have a daughter who is primary school age. Back in my days, it was a great school with a great mix of girls from all different background/race. However, I'm not sure if I want to enroll my daughter at PLC as it has become a school with one ethnic group. I understand the school is ATAR driven but would be good to be a school which attracts different races as well as academically strong girls."
"A great school! So warm and welcoming and the parents have been wonderfully supportive. highly recommend"
"The most selfish drivers at the senior school. No U-turns is not so you can drop your child off and then do one without thought to anyone else. No stopping is just that but time and time again I see parents dropping their children off and letting them run in front of cars doing the right thing. If your child gets injured who's fault is it? Shame on you parents who only think of yourself."
