Dr Teh graduated with honors from the University of New South Wales in 2001 and completed her radiation oncology training at the prestigious Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne. She furthered her expertise by completing a clinical research fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where she received the Phyllis Hantho Breast Cancer Research Fund and the Weekend to End Breast Cancer Research Fellowship for her outstanding research.

She serves as a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School, Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney, and was awarded Excellence in Teaching in 2014.
