Dr Miriam Boxer, a renowned radiation oncologist, leads our team at Icon Cancer Centre Concord. She has a strong passion for education and research, which she utilizes to deliver the best possible health outcomes for all her patients.

Dr Boxer's journey in the medical field began with her Bachelor of Health Science degree from the University of Adelaide in 1995. She went on to achieve First Class Honours in 1996 and completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Flinders University, South Australia in 2000. She then pursued formal radiation oncology training in Wollongong, which she successfully completed at Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals in Sydney, ultimately becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2010.

Apart from her clinical practice, Dr Boxer is deeply passionate about sharing her knowledge through education and authorship. She proudly served as the Director of Training at Liverpool and Campbelltown hospitals in Sydney for six years, where she recruited, mentored, and supervised medical trainees. She has also contributed to numerous publications focusing on lung cancer, breast cancer, and the impact of peer review.

With her extensive clinical experience, Dr Boxer has expertise in a broad range of solid tumor malignancies. Her special interests lie in lung cancer, breast cancer, safety and quality, as well as peer review and education.
