"I don't understand why every year so many teachers are leaving ( I guess they are not happy with the direction and ways of the principal) and don't get me started with the Principal, so rude to the parents just giving orders to the parents with the worst attitude, she believes that she can talk to us however she feels. Some respect lady. Everyone missed the last Principal Jan."
"During my daughters prep year, she had an amazing time. She was young and naive and just enjoyed making new friends. Start of year 1 and she gets bullied for being friends with a year 2 boy, whom she has known since they were babies. We spoke to her teacher and things quietened down for a few months. But, it started up again and my girl refused to go to school. She wouldn't eat, was getting sick. It was horrible. After having a chat with Michelle, it has been a ripper of a few months. My daughter doesn't want to change schools anymore, phew. Michelle is absolutely lovely, understanding and actually engages in conversation. I see how much the kids love her and she has remembered many a name. Being her first year, that's pretty impressive. I'll be honest, I wasn't so sure about her at first, but you should never judge a book by it's cover"
"I have been involved with the school since before it opened. I miss Jan and a lot of the other staff dearly. I have to say I was looking forward to a new Principal and direction for the school but was very apprehensive when Michelle started. I agree many of the children were as its been said "out of control" but it's now a pleasure to walk into the school especially at drop off & pick up, it's so calm and peaceful! Both of my boys have special needs and have had their fair share of being bullied at school. All the teachers and extended staff have always tried their best to help. They show compassion, not just to the children but to the whole family always happy to lend an ear and give you a hug! This will be my last year at the school as both my sons will have moved onto high school . The more I get to know Michelle, work with her, & listen to her plans for the direction of the school, I wish I could have more time here! Life is to short to have grievances and say nasty things."
"This is my 8th yr at this school and i was ready to take my kids out until i found out there was a new principle starting. We loved jan but our voices and our kids voices weren't being heard. My boys are both ASD and ADHD and my eldest boy has been school refusing for 7yrs. He has had over 40+ days off nearly every year and there has been no support for myself or my son. Since michelle has come on board and chrissy started in wellbeing there has been more support. I like how honest and upfront michelle is. The behaviour of the children within the school environment has changed dramatically. Lets face it, there is bullying in all schools and even in workplaces, no school is perfect they all have there issues but michelle has been working hard with the staff at SFA to correct this so give her a chance and actually get to know her first before judging her."
"If I could give a zero l would. As a current parent helper l’ve been disgusted by the way we’ve been treated, the new Principal Michelle wanted new blood for parent helpers, how silly is that! Teachers are leaving left and right and the focus now even more is on doing things one way, her way. Michelle needs to learn so much. First year on the job and I’m astounded by the arrogance. It seems that she’s had very little teaching experience. If you want to give your kids a great start don’t come here. I’ve just got my kids into another school. The kids here are out of control. We loved the previous Principal Jan and the kids really miss her. Michelle l hope you change your tune but as we know that’s not going to happen, please look at the teachings of the Bible and St Francis as you really need help!"
